30DAYS OFWRITING ; DAY2
2. Genre of the novel explained in detail.
That one genre where teenagers/ young adults fight for some rebel cause against some shifty organization because it's all one big metaphor against capitalism and bureaucracy.
Okay, okay, I'm being serious
Now: My unnamed novel is a Low-fantasy/ pseudo sci-fi with lots of action/ adventure elements blended up with romance and a good old character study to boot. But mainly it's sci-fi. Kind of. It's about stopping time and stuff, you get the gist.
The "tone" of the book starts quite happy and "omg this is new and exciting" and then...everything goes downhill and it goes into dark, noir territory right until it hits the second book (which has the feel of a post-apocolyptic book...and let's not even discuss the third).
But if a lit teacher asks you, it's a representation of loss of innocence and death. Say it with me: loss of innocence and death.
