5- Main Character Bio

Oksana Zackharin is sixteen, young and free. She's got her life ahead of her and she's got the whole world at her feet; she's popular, determined, wealthy and particularly sexy. Her smoky, jazz singer voice, bee-stung lips and copper hair combo has boys falling at her feet and she's very well aware of it. When OK turns 16, she's got a bright future ahead of her.

Then time stops and everything goes from good to terrible.

Oksana is a thinker, not a doer, and spends a lot of her time investigating, finding the facts. Cooking is her passion and when she cooks she'll measure ingredients to the T, making sure everything is just right. She's also on a mission to try everything just ONCE, and she considers herself a well rounded person (although this may not be entirely true). She's never rash in her decisions but sometimes she can be TOO thoughtful and sometimes her lack of randomness comes back to bite. She's not a particularly warm person--judging most things and people from an arms length--and at her most raw she's genuine, honest and occasionally brash. She picks and chooses who her close friends get to be and she considers herself a catch. She tends to look down on people, but she's very firmly planted in reality. She has realistic goals for the future, all of them planned out perfectly, and she has realistic expectations of herself.

All of this begins to change when time stops and OK realizes that the reality she's so firmly planted in isn't as secure as she thought.

With boys, OK likes to flirt. She's not one to play games but it'll be a while before she approves of someone--making sure to judge every aspect of them first, to get every little detail. This MAKES it look like she's playing games. Typically she goes for the clean cut, future husband material sort of guys: the all-American looks, good grades, plays for a sports team. Holden, her current boyfriend, is exactly her type: the footballer from a well to do family with ambitious goals and a knack for winning over parents. Ryker is a little bit more smug then her usual pick, a little bit grittier, but she could still put him in her normal category. As for Kaine...
