"I'm sorry, but I don't understand what you want from me at this assembly." I explained

"Sean, you are the only teacher who is openly gay, who is open about you past with your students, your abuse, your bullying, you Self-harm, Sean students feel comfortable around you. I honestly feel you are the best choice to give the main speech. You're talking to 14-18 year olds, its not like you have to hide details, and I've asked Jace to do the same. I want the kids to see that they aren't alone, that they have people who care." She explained

"Isn't that your job?" I questioned

"It's supposed to be, but we all know I can't be that person for the kids. I grew up with the rich picture perfect life. I can't relate to these kids who are being bullied, or abused. You and Jace, you two can." She sighed

"Okay. I will try and talk Jace into it. He still is dealing with the fact that someone approved his abuser to enter the school." I sighed

"I think he'll do it. He's a good kid, and he's a lot like you, he wants to save everybody, even if it means he gets hurt in the process." She sighed shaking her head

"Thanks. Oh, what about the kids videos? All are fully approved and finished."

"We plan to play them at the assembly and post them online for the kids." She smiled

I walked out onto the stage, the room filled with teenagers. I felt my anxiety begin to sat in but I I put on a smile anyway.

"Hello everybody! Welcome to Anti-Bullying Day! Now, I know for most of you this is just something else you're gonna sleep through, I sure as hell did when I was your age. However, I think you're going to hear some very meaningful stories today and I ask you to try and stay with us. I will say that if at any point you feel upset or that you need to leave, you are welcome to go to the office or the guidance office, because today's stories, are the uncut versions, made by teachers, students, and some people who are no longer with us." I said "First, we are going to play the videos that my class have been working on for the past year."

I switched on the first video and took my seat near my class.

"Jace, we understand that you recently attempted on your life, can we ask why?" The student asked

"Well Shante, I ugh, I got tired of people telling me every day that I was worthless, that I was a Daddy's boy. I was told every single day for weeks to end it. I... I thought that's what everyone wanted." Jace sighed

"What about your Dad? Was that related to any of this?" She asked

"I ugh, I think you should ask Pa." He stamered

"He won't tell me anything cause he's a big 'ol goober." She laughed

"Well... It was related yeah. I mean, I'd feel pretty shitty attending the funeral of a student that came to me crying just days before because of a problem I couldn't help them with. He's blaming himself for everything. For Greg, for me. But it's not his fault. He isn't the student that's bullying us."

   "Okay-"

   "Are we done?" Jace asked

"Sure Jace. Have a good day." Shante said as the camera moved into a hug

   "Dean!" Sam's voice called

"Sam, I already said no. I will not talk about her." Dean said strictly

"Please? You're the only one I wanna do." Sam said softly

"Fine. I will answer 3 questions about her, no more."
