"Sean, how've you been?" Samantha asked

"I've been doing better. I just had a rough patch Samantha." I told her

"And you've stopped truing to hide your arms? Boy you have some explaining to do." Samantha said as she sat at a table in the staff room

"Well, I decided it's time to stop hiding the past. Running away from things doesn't fix them. Besides, my students tell me everything that's going on in their lives, I feel it's only fair to show them part of mine." I explained

"I'm proud of you Sean. And you're right. I think it's time I did that with my students as well." She smiled

"Sam, Hun, you've lost me." I said confused

"I was born a man, Sean." She told me

"Seriously? Samantha I never would have guessed." I said shocked

"Yeah, I didn't exactly wave it around either. But I'm not going to hide it anymore. I admire how close you are with your students, and I know I'll never quite be like that with my kids because I have so many, but even if I can help a few of them, I'd be happy." She smiled

"That's why we do this Sammy. If we can save just one kid then it's an accomplishment." I reminded her

"You should be proud of your kids. The videos they created for Anti-Bullying day look phenomenal so far." Heather chimed in

"They really are. I'm just waiting for a few more parental consent forums and they'll be ready." I smiled

"And what you did for Shante. Sean you've always been a teacher that goes way out of your way to keep your kids happy and safe." Mason smiled

"I feel like any parent would do that though. I mean, just last week Mason, you had a student come in to your class covered in bruises like Jace was and you did the same thing I did. You called my husband." I laughed

"Mr.McLoughlin, I'm so glad to see you back!" Gladdis said excited

"Its good to see you as well Gladdis. How are the kids?" I asked

"Oh you know, I see my grand children more often." She laughed "I heard you were speaking at our Pink Day assembly."

"I completely forgot you taught in Canada. Yes I will be speaking at the assembly." I smiled

"The hell is Pink Day?" Samantha asked

"In Canada the usually call Anti-Bullying Day, Pink Day, and students are encouraged to wear pink. There's a little history lesson behind their reasoning for that." I explained

"Okay, Mr.McLoughlin, I must hear your history lesson." Gladdis laughed

"The short version of it. Pink day was created to honor a high school boy who was murdered for wearing pink to school. The boys friends and classmates all showed up to school wearing pink T-shirts to school in memory of him, and it became a tradition." I explained

"That's actually really sweet of them." Samantha smiled

"Mr.McLoughlin, your hairstyle is highly unprofessional." Mrs.Margret said entering the staff room

"I apologize Mrs.Margret, my husband and I did it for a charity livestream." I began to explain

   "I don't much care."

"You should care. It was one supporting our assembly next week. If we raised $10,000 for the Anti-Bullying foundation Mark and I both agreed to dye our hair." I explained to her
