"Where the hell is he?" Mark asked me

"He's here Mark. I'll call him. Malcolm never liked crowds." I sighed as I pulled out my phone and dialed his number

"Hey Sean, I'm just outside the main doors. You're looking for a blue Cobalt." He told me

"You're still driving that thing?" I laughed

"Yeah! This thing is my baby." He laughed

"Alright. We'll be out in a few." I told him hanging up

I laughed and gently shook my head. It's nice to be home but the wrong reason. Soon we got our bags and made out way to the car. Malcolm got out of the car to help us put our bags in.

"It's good to see you man. Just wish it was under different circumstances." I said as I hugged him

"Yeah. But hey, at least you came home." He sighed

"Anyway, lets get you home." I said as we all got into the car

About half an hour into the drive I looked over and noticed Malcolm was crying, which I expect. I men, he just lost his family.

"The driver was drunk." He said suddenly

   "What?" I asked

"Of the truck that hit them. The driver was drunk." He sighed

   "I'm sorry Malcolm."

"She was going to pick me up smokes." He sighed, wiping away a tear

"Malcolm, you can't blame yourself for this." I told him

"What else do I do Sean. I could have gone to get them, I could have waited and they'd still be fine." He cried

"Pull over Malcolm. You need a minute." I told him in a soft tone

He pulled the car over, got out, and immediately lit a cigarette. I got out of the car and stood next to him. We were off any of the main streets so I wasn't overly worried about traffic, I was worried about my brother.

"It's gonna be okay Malcolm. Maybe not now, but eventually, it will be." I told him

"Does the pain ever go away?" He asked blowing out smoke

   "It gets better." I sighed

"When did you quit?" He asked

   "What?" I questioned

"When did you quit. Normally you would have lit one the second you got out." He pointed out

"When Jace got sick I guess. Once my kids were old enough to call me on my habit." I shrugged

"Ha, and to think you used to be worse than me." He laughed

"I really only smoked when I was drinking." I reminded him

"You were sober?" He questioned laughing

   "Shut up." I laughed

"Anyway, We should get going. the house is only a few minutes away from here." He told me

"Alright. You sure you're okay to drive?" I asked

"I'll be fine bro." He smiled

We finally arrived at the house and Malcolm showed us to his guest room. Jace was sleeping in Emily's old room. There was't much in it because Emily lived with her boyfriend who she was in collage with. I set my things down and went downstairs, Malcolm was out on the deck, beer sitting next to him. I opened the door and stood next to him.
