Chapter 16 - What happened?!

~Wednesday~ (They get the day off after prom)

-Aubrey's POV-

The bed situation was an interesting one. Me and Add slept her bed, Eye slept in Abi's bed, Vikk slept with Lachlan, Rob and Preston stayed in their rooms but of course Mitch and Jerome got the other whole house to themselves.

"Ugh." I groaned rolling over on the mattress.

"What?" Add asked in her groggy morning voice.

"Nothing." I told her as I shifted again. "You know what, I'm just gonna get up." I slipped out of the covers and walked downstairs, in my pajama pants and white t-shirt.

I grabbed a piece of bread and a plopped it into the toaster. I stared at the toaster waiting for it to pop back up so I can eat it.

POP

Pulling it out, I sat it on the plate and started to spread on the jam that I had picked out onto it.

"Morn." Someone said from behind me causing me to jump out of my skin, I quickly spun around to see Eye standing on the other side of the bench. "Whoa, didn't mean to scare you." She apologized, rubbing the back of her neck.

"It's ok." I replied, chomping down on on my freshly made piece of toast.

"Morning Vikk." I said to Vikk who was trying to sneak his way down the stairs but failing awfully. "How'd you sleep?" I continued trying to keep up a good conversation.

"Well I didn't sleep that much." Vikk replied sitting down at the bench next to Eyelyn.

"Oooooooo." Eye taunted nudging him with her elbow. I chuckled lightly at our small conversation.

"What?" Vikk questioned confused, which made me laugh a little harder.

"So why didn't you sleep that much?" I asked him through my small amount of laughter.

"Ya know just thinking bout stuff." He told me, getting up and grabbing a bowl.

"Well, I must say you two were very quiet." Eye said raising up her water bottle that she brought down with her, like a toast.

"WHAT?!" Vikk shouted pulling his head out of the fridge. Me and Eye just cracked up laughing. I watched Vikk go bright red and stuff his head back inside the fridge.

"Hey!" Abi yelled running into the kitchen. "What we talking about?" She asked as she leant on the bench next to me.

"Oh, how Vikk and Lachlan were very quiet last night." Eye told her making Vikk threw the milk carton at her once he had poured some in his bowl.

*Cough* Did I just cough? I never cough! I never get sick!

"You alright Brey?" Add asked me I must've been to in thought to notice her come down the stairs.

"Y *Cough* eah. I'm fine just a tickle in my th-throat." I answered her. I cleared my throat but it did seem to be helping.

I turned around and sat my plate in the sink and turned on the water. Once the plate was clean I turned back around to see that Lachlan, Rob and Preston had finally joined us.

*Cough, cough, cough, cough* I pounded my fist against my chest to stop my couching but I don't think that helped.

"Aubrey, you sure you're ok?" Abi asked rubbing my back.

"Yeah, I think I'm just gonna go li *cough* ie down." I explained, Abi nodded and went to join the others on the couch.

I started to walk up the stairs and got a little dizzy halfway up. I reached the top of the stairs and fell against the wall, everything was going in and out of focus. My knees gave out from underneath me and my face went flying towards the ground. Just before I hit the floor my vision shut off and everything was pitch black.
