Chapter 28 - OH MY GOD!!

~Monday~

-Addison's POV-

I slowly walked my way back from the bathroom. Thinking about everything that I could possibly think about. From Brey to how I missed lunch yesterday and Mitch and Jerome's engagement.

I slowly walked into Brey's room to see her lying on her side exactly where I left her. I sighed as I sat down in the chair that is basically my life at this point.

All of a sudden she readjusted herself so she was lying on her back, which I thought nothing of she's been doing that a lot recently.

I quietly grabbed my phone and opened my messages onto Eye's contact.

Add ~ How's the job going?

I looked back over to see Brey lying there staring at the ceiling. I looked back down at my phone not thinking much about it. WAIT WHAT?! I swiftly shot my head back up to see her lying there staring at the ceiling blinking and all!

OH MY GOOOOOD!!!

I grabbed the remote and pressed the call nurse button she definitely heard me move cause she flinched as I moved but she didn't look at me or talk, nothing.

The nurse came walking into the room calmly but when she saw Brey awake she rushed away to go and get Dr Harris. I just stared at her not really sure if I should try and talk to her or not. Just then Dr Harris ran into the room giving me a nod of recognition but going straight to talk to Brey.

"Aubrey?" He asked.

"Yeah." She replied sitting up a little bit more in her bed.

"Do you know who I am?" He questioned her. She looked at him a little confused before responding.

"No." She then turned to me. "Add, who is this?" She asked me as a few tears slipped out of her eyes and slowly rolled down her cheek, which nearly made me cry.

"Well, she remembers you." Dr Harris laughed. "I would suggest you give her some water and I'll get the nurse to bring in her lunch early." I thanked him with a small smile and a nod before reaching and getting the glass of water I had in the room.

"Here." I said raspily as I handed her the water. She cupped the glass in her hands staring into it. She then turned back to me and asked.

"What is it?" I was confused at her question but I answered it anyway.

"It's just w-water." I choked out, my voice still very scratchy. She nodded and held the glass up to her lips taking the smallest sip.

"Here." She said passing it back to me. "Who was that man?" She asked as she turned and looked at the door, confused.

"He's been your doctor." I explained placing her glass down on the side table and picking up mine to moisten my throat. "The others will come round after they finish school." I told her as I placed my glass back on the side table.

"Who else would want to see me?" She asked looking at me confused. Before I could answer her question the nurse waltzed in the room with a tray full of hospital food that honestly looked absolutely disgusting. Although Brey hasn't eaten in a few weeks so, I guess she'll eat it.

"There you go." The nurse said placing the tray down on the table that can swing over the bed. "Anything else?" She asked Brey. Brey just turned and looked at me with a terrified look on her face.

"No thanks." I told the nurse who nodded and walked out of the room. I watched the nurse leave before I talked to her about why she was so scared about the nurse coming in and talking to her. She looked over to me with the same terrified look on her face but it softened as she kept looking at me.

"What's wrong?" I asked. She shook her head violently in response.

"I don't know." She replied looking down in her lap and playing with her hands. I stood up out of my chair and began to walk over to my duffel bag that still sat on the chair by the door. "Where are you going!?" Brey yelled frantically.

"I'm just getting my hoodie." I replied worry clear in my voice. I quickly grabbed my hoodie and sat back down in the same seat.

"I'll tell the guys to come after school, Eye might not be able to come, I don't know her hours yet." I explained to Brey who just looked confused.

~Time skip to when the others get to the hospital~

-Eyelyn's POV-

We had received a text from Add saying that Aubs was awake and talking. So I took the day off work so I could go see her. I probably shouldn't have, I've only been working at the cafe for a few days.

We all entered the lift and pressed the button for the third floor. We were all silent the whole way up until we heard the Ding of the lift. We all stepped out and began to walk down the hallway towards Aubrey's room. You can just sense that were all super nervous to see Aubrey again.

We entered her room and she instantly tensed up clinging onto Add's arm for dear life.

"Hey." I said softly, trying not to make her any less nervous or scared.

"H-h-hi." She whispered back. We all slowly entered the room and sat down in the chairs.

"Do you remember any of them?" Add asked her. They were both sitting up on Aubrey's hospital bed and I don't think that Aubs will let go of her arm any time soon.

"N-n-no." She stuttered out.

Add sighed and started reintroducing us to her. Which kinda bummed all of us out.

HEYYYYY

"Hey Abi, say heeeeeyyyy!"

"hi"

SHE SAID HI! Sorry it was the best I could get out of her, she is actually doing French soooo and I'm not HAHAHAHA! EVIL!
