Emma's P.O.V
I woke up the next morning, and remembered that it was Monday. Ew, gross. I looked at my phone, and saw a few texts from Hayes.
Hayes😲🔫: Hey can we talk
Hayes😲🔫: Hello?
Hayes😲🔫: Answer meee
Hayes😲🔫: Stop ignoring me😠
Hayes😲🔫: I will march over to your house and make you speak to me
Hayes😲🔫: EMMA NICOLE GREY ANSWER MY FREAKING TEXTS THIS IS REALLY IMPORTANT I KNOW YOU'RE MAD, BUT HEAR ME OUT
I debated with myself for a minute, and decided to answer him.
Hayes' P.O.V
I texted Emma, but she wouldn't answer me. You'd think that a girl who never releases her phone would reply sooner. My phone beeped.
Emma😑: WHAT DO YOU WANT? I don't feel like talking to you
Me: Can you meet me at the old factory?
Emma😑: Why there?
Me: Just shut up and just meet me there right after school today...
Emma😑: Fine whatever. Wait are you gonna be there?
Me: Nope, I'm too far away. I'll see you later
I got dressed, and ate some pancakes.
"Nila I'm going out, I'll be back in a few hours!" I yelled.
"Ok, do you need me to drive you anywhere?" She wondered.
"No, I'm good!" I walked out of the house, and started walking to the old factory. It's only about 30 minutes away, but I want some alone time. I've had no time anyways, so being alone is nice. My phone started vibrating. It was Nash.
"Trash Nash what's up?" I asked.
"Hasss I'm driving your little girlfriend to school, and then I have to drive her to the factory," Nash said.
"Ew don't even call me his girlfriend, because I think girlfriends are supposed to like their boyfriends," She snapped.
"Rude," I mumbled.
"Yeah, nobody cares how rude we are!" Nash yelled.
"Whatever. Bye," I said as I hung up the phone. I continued walking and just started thinking. Am I supposed to be sorry? Because I don't think I did anything wrong. I went to McDonalds, and just got a 20 piece order of chicken nuggets. I was really hungry.
Emma's P.O.V
I walked into the school, hoping that everyone had forgotten about my fake relationship with Hayes, and I hoped that Lacey didn't tell everyone about my threat to her that didn't actually exist. I was wrong about the threat. Most people gave me dirty looks. Others didn't look at me at all. They obviously wouldn't believe me if I told them that Lacey was just a piece of crap who likes to lie. First and second period weren't too bad. People just talked to me a little bit. Third and fourth period weren't that good. People didn't talk to me at all. Lunch finally came around but since I had no friends today, I brought my lunch to the bathroom, and sat down. Why was everybody making such a big deal about this? I know they're my friends, but right now they kinda suck. The bell rang, which meant that lunch was over. I made my way to fifth period, algebra. I sat in the back with my friend Brianna. I knew she would talk to me.
"Hey Em!" She said.
"Hey Bri!" I said back.
"I know that Lacey is lying. She can't go a day without spreading a rumor. Gossiping is just in her blood," She whispered.
"I know right! But I didn't even do anything! And my relationship with Hayes wasn't real. Somebody made it up, and we went along with it. Then a fan made us kiss, and then we kissed again a couple days later in my room, and I really liked it, and then he started dating Lacey yesterday, and then she dumped him because of me, and now he's at Nila's house. But don't tell anybody," I explained.
"I won't," She promised.
"Miss Grey and Miss Leigh, do you have something to share with the class?" My algebra teacher, Ms. Moore, snapped. I hesitated.
"Actually, I do," I announced as I walked up to the front of the room. "You guys know Lacey Heft, right? Ok, well you guys also know about how I threatened her. That's not true. He kissed me, and then went out with her. While they were on their date, I was at home, crying, about how I wished that was me. But it doesn't matter now. Because he doesn't mean anything to me anymore, and neither does Lacey." I glared at her. "You disgust me. And you can go to Hell." I stuck my finger up at her, and stormed out of the room. Everyone was speechless, but I just simply grabbed my phone, and called Callie to come pick me up. I was going to see Hayes early.
