"Aren't you going to come out, hyung?" Hoseok broke the heavy silence hanging around the apartment with a soft whisper against the door, his attempt of knocking coming to a halt as soon as Yoongi's rough voice followed.

"Leave." The response was straightforward enough to make Hoseok sigh but comply nonetheless.

Yoongi sighed in relief when he could no longer hear Hoseok. He assumed the younger had finally left since the front door opened then closed with a soft click a few seconds later.

He resumed smoking, relaxing against the headboard. The crease between his brows finally seemed to go away and the tight grip he had on the frail cigarette loosened.

Silence took over yet again and he felt at peace despite the slight unease that nagged him for the past week. He hadn't left his bedroom at all and for good reason. It was embarrassing enough to face Hoseok after he had poured his stupid feelings on a plate like it was nothing, let alone face Taehyung, considering the fact that he was emotionally unstable after the incident.

He couldn't bear it. He was sure enough that seeing Taehyung would only worsen his state and would make him more vulnerable. He would become a prey to the emotional monster inside him and he didn't want that to happen. He wasn't ready. Not yet.

His room had been a constant mess for the past week. Bottles scrambled everywhere, remains of frail cigarettes across the floor, countless pieces of glass that were still there after he had crushed the old vase he was fond of, and himself.

He hadn't been sleeping that much, constantly drowning himself in his toxic pleasures that had started the whole mess, but then again, it was the only way to forget everything that was too complicated and beyond his comprehension. The only way he'd get to avoid everything he was too afraid to face.

He exhaled softly, allowing a grey swirl of smoke to slip past his chapped lips and into the heavy air. His eyes looked dull and not as bright as they used to be during the times Taehyung was near.

He secretly wished to see him. Even for a brief minute.

Hoseok knocked on the door, a bit hesitant to stand in front of Jimin's apartment for the first time, but he was there for a reason. He had something to accomplish and he wasn't going to give up, considering the fact that his friend's well-being was on the line.

He could hear the faint sound of steps from inside and he gulped, bracing himself.

"Oh? Hobi?" Jimin flashed him a bright smile that didn't fail to make Hoseok's heart race, urging him to come in the cozy apartment.

Hoseok smiled back and complied, looking around for a while before turning to face the blushing Jimin who seemed just as nervous as he was.

"Sorry for coming here unannounced, Chim. I..was kind of in a rush so I didn't think about calling first." Hoseok rubbed the nape of his neck and grinned, a bit uneasy.

Jimin tilted his head, eyes scanning each change in the older's expression. As happy as he was to see the person he was in love with, he couldn't help but wonder why he came.

"It's alright, Hobi. Just tell me what's wrong. You seem a bit troubled."

Both of them then took a seat on the soft couch and Jimin mustered enough courage to grasp Hoseok's hands in a soothing manner, hoping to ease his unknown worries.

Hoseok squeezed Jimin's smaller hands back, feeling much better. He took a deep breath.

"It's about Yoongi actually. He shut himself up in his room and he's in an overall bad condition for the past week and I was hoping to get Taehyung's help, because I no longer know what to do in order to bring him back to normal." Hoseok spoke, the tinge of sadness in his voice clear as day.
