Halima's POV

I notice he is taking the route to the airport but I keep quiet. It looks like mummy and daddy are back and we're going to pick them. My dad is a retired soldier that's presently a business man. My mum on the other hand is an international fashion designer.

Normally when we go to pick them, being the only child, i go with my cousins or uncles and sometimes even with Teemah and her family. We're kind of family friends.

I don't realize it before i say, "Nasan inda zamuje, su mama zamuje daukowa koh? {I know where we are going, we are going to pick mum and co right}?"

He just laughs and tells me to come out of the car after he has parked. I go out and see my favorite thing, chocolates. I beg him to buy some for me and then i start munching on it. They are so yummy. I literally moan while taking them. My mouth waters more and more. I close my eyes in pleasure. Yeah, that's how i behave when I'm taking chocolates.

Before we can leave the parking lot I sight my parents and one other man I can't seem to recognize. I run and daddy pulls me into a hug. I hug my mummy too and they both peck me. My parents love me alot but never spoil me. They always make sure i get everything necessary but not too much.

It is after the exchange i realize who it is. The other person is Sophie's dad. Great!! Just great!! Deal with the daughter and then get to take the dad home in your parents' car. I roll my eyes. As if his daughter has not ruined my day enough.

I greet him and then he gives me four bars of chocolate. As if he knows just what i want. I collect it and thank him. Then i realize, i shouldn't be angry at the man. It is his daughter who spoilt my day not him. Chocolates helped me think that way. And mummy always says chocolates aren't good for me. I decide to push every thought to the back of my mind and feel in the moment.

We enter the car, with my parents and I at the back and then Sophie's dad, uncle Marafa as we call him at the front. We drive to only God knows where. I don't even want to know where we're going.

We pull over in front of KFC and uncle Marafa goes in and get us some. I want to start murdering the already murdered chicken with my teeth but mummy collects it and says I should wait till we go home. I whine and whine, all to no avail.

We go home around 4pm and guess what, Teemah is at our house. I've been expecting to see Sophie anyways. I go to my room, take a bath and dress in grey sweat pants and a black top with a black turban to cover my hair. I go down the stairs with my phone at hand.

I go to the fridge, take two apples and go to the dining room since the traitors are in the living room. But this is my parents house and if anyone should be changing places because of the other, it should be them because of me. So I walk to the living room. I take Teemah's bag off my favorite cushion and throw it on the ground.

If she can be petty then so can I.

She turns towards me and sends me a glare but I don't care. I eat my apple while listening to music and chatting at the same time. I first go through my WhatsApp followed by my Instagram, TikTok, Twitter and then Snapchat. I've never been a Facebook user 'cause it seems too wild.

When I am done replying my pending messages, I update my status for whatsapp. I finish my apples and drop my phone, still listening to music. Teemah comes inside and locks the door behind her. I look at her, wondering what she's doing.

When everywhere is covered, Teemah hugs me, taking me by surprise. Sophie gasps, her face mirroring mine.

Teemah laughs so hard tears are streaming from her eyes. I am starting to think that Teemah has finally lost it. She has had it coming with all the crime documentaries she has been watching recently.

"What the heck is happening here? Teemah? What is happening?" Sophie questions before I can. Teemah laughs again.

"Did you seriously think i would forsake my best friend for you? Ahh you are really in trouble. I swear you don't have sense 'cause if you had sense you would've realized long ago that it was all an act." What the actual hell?!

"What sort of rough play was that?!" I stand on my feet. Sophie blinkw once, twice then regains her composure.

"Let me do the honors of explaining. So when Halli told me everything that happened between you, her and Ashfat i came up with a plan to teach you a lesson. The plan is that we will pretend to hate each other for a while and then when you are satisfied that I am on your side, I'll take your phone and text Ashfat as you telling him to stay away from you and that you hate him because he's the reason your cousin literally hates you now." I gape at Teemah. That never happened.

"He replied okay and I blocked him then deleted his number from your phone but before i did that, I screenshotted your chats with him when you were saying you love him and everything and sent it to your mum's phone two minutes ago. I'm sure she must be on her way here right now."

"What have you done?! Do you know the kind of trouble I'll get into for this?" Sophie says freaking out.

"Well I don't care, do you know how heart broken Halli was yesterday? Now you won't feel that kind of pain. No, you'll feel a kind far more worse, shame. Let me even shock you more, Halli wasn't aware of it. I did this all on my own because she feels that would be petty. " Teemah says leaving the parlor. I run following her. That girl has some explaining to do.
