Fatima's POV
On reaching school, I see that everybody is on his or her sportswear. It's surprising because today is Wednesday so we are all supposed to be in our uniforms.
To make matters worse, I'm the only one on my uniform so I stick out like a sore thumb. I hurriedly go to my class and on my way there I meet FHA.
But, instead of standing and blabbing their usual nonsense, they just make way for me and allow me to pass. This is definitely Hamza's doing.
I enter class and spot Halli and Kalt snapping selfies. Since when are phones allowed in school? I go up to Kalt and Halli and they give me a questioning look.
"Why are you guys, scratch that. Why is everyone in their sports wears?" Halli takes out her phone and shows me our chats with her. Wait, OUR? When did I chat with Halli? I didn't chat since 6 p.m in the evening yesterday so why is my last seen 2 a.m?
I read the chats and realise who she chatted with. Ya Sa'eed. I'm so going to get him back at him for this. But how did he even find out my password? I'll worry about that later.
I push the thoughts to the back of my mind and and decide to work on the matter at hand. How on earth am I going to get my sport wears and everything else?
"Halli..." we're cut off by the sound of little footsteps coming towards us. It's Amal running with one of my side bags and some stuffs inside.
She gives me, panting.
"Ya Sa'eed just brought it saying that he will come to school later." I collect it and she runs away again.
I shake my head, he'll never change. He always has a habit of coming to school late and not to talk of driving Ammi's car to school. She's going to kill him when she comes back from Yola.
I collect my things and thank her. On opening the bag I see that he has packed all the things I might necessarily need: my sportswear which is red by the way, my white sneakers, my white ear pods and a matching red pouch which he has changed my phone into.
He even picked a different cap for me and some snacks to eat which of course includes my favorite, popcorn. So Ya Sa'eed actually has a little bit of sense.
I give Halli and Kalt my bag and rush to the toilet to change into my sportswear and sneakers. According to our chats, today is the we're going to the National Stadium Abuja for the first part of our inter-house sports, the football match.
Suddenly, someone drags me into an empty class. Just when I turn to snap at the person I notice it's Amir but that doesn't stop me from snapping at him.
"Are you mad?"
"I'm sorry." I roll my eyes.
"What is it?" He rubw the back if his head.
"Uhm... Actually, I want us to talk about that thing we were talking about when... before Halli came to... and... you understand." I raise my brows at him.
"Just talk, I don't have all day."I look at my wrist watch. I kow that was rude but I need to be rude so that I can get over the crush i had on him. It's a weird mentality no one will understand.
"Okay. So, I don't want you to pretend to be my girlfriend anymore." He finally says after what seemed like eternity. I heav a sigh of relief.
I turn to leave but he holds my hand.
"I'm not yet done Bonito." I turn and glare at him. He let go of my hand.
"I don't want you to pretend to be my girlfriend. I want you to be my girlfriend."
