~Lev's POV~
I walked through the door and was immediately greeted by my sister who was lying across the couch. Alisa gave a cheery smile as she began to ask me several questions, not giving me much time to answer.
"You're home later than usual. How did practice go? Did you get a girlfriend yet?"
She laughed at the last one. The blush on my face grew as I began to think about y/n. I couldn't tell her about y/n yet. If she knew she'd make fun of me and I wouldn't forgive myself.
"Practice was fine. I went to the store and bought some food."
I refused to even answer her last question. To my surprise, she didn't bring it up again. She just rolled over and began texting on her phone. I shrugged and headed towards the pantry.
I'm starving. I wonder what y/n ate today.
I reached one of the higher shelves and grabbed a packet of popcorn. A movie would be a good way to kill some time. Today was the day that mother passed away a year ago. For now, Alisa lets me live with her. I am very thankful for her generosity. If I didn't have my older sister I don't know where I would be as of now. Probably homeless or something.
"Do you want to watch a movie with me?" I asked her as she was laying on the couch.
She nodded and pushed herself into a comfortable sitting position. Alisa continued to type away on her phone until I sat next to her with a bowl of now steaming hot popcorn. I placed the popcorn between us and scrolled through some movies. We eventually settled on a comedy about working in an office.
At least halfway through the movie, we finished the popcorn and I noticed my sister becoming drowsy. I checked the clocked that ticked away on the wall as she drifted into a deep slumber.
It was 11:30. I almost completely forgot about the practice match tomorrow. How could I forget about something that meant so much to me? The room was almost completely dark except for the dim light emitted by the tv.
How could I almost forget that y/n would be attending our practice match? I get to see y/n again. Just the thought of her made me all giddy and happy.
I carefully lifted Alisa from the couch and brought her into her room, tucking her into bed. I went back to the living room to grab her phone and place it on her nightstand. I plugged the phone to the charger before walking to my own room and collapsing onto my bed.
Should I visit y/n? She's fine, right?
Can't hurt to make sure.
No, I don't want to invade her privacy.
But I want to see her. I need to see her.
I will see her tomorrow.
Tomorrow...
~Timeskip to y/n POV~
You opened your eyes to see a bright light shining from the window. You turned towards your alarm clock to check the time. It was only 12 pm.
You yawned and stretched before your eyes widened at a sudden realization.
Wait a second... 12 pm... I'M LATE!
You quickly pushed yourself out of bed and ran to the closet, throwing on your uniform as fast as possible. You stumbled towards the bathroom to brush your teeth and throw on a little makeup.
You threw your brush in your bag and ran out of the door. You booked it to school as fast as you could possibly run. As you passed the overgrown tree at the edge of your street a branch hit your neck.
