13. Corruption

{Warning! Graphic Content! Description of death towards the end! Also, this chapter is mainly focused on Lev and Yaku.}

~Lev's POV~

The sun was out and it had to be past noon as Yaku was still unconscious. I decided to make some bacon and toast only enough for myself. I felt bad for kidnapping Yaku, he's my best friend but I have to make sacrifices for y/n.

After the bacon and toast had finished, I headed down with my plate to find Yaku finally waking up. He groaned as I began to approach him.

"Bacon? Lev? Where am I? Why am I tied up?"

I ate one strip of bacon before responding to him. I didn't want him to start panicking and think I was the bad guy in this situation.

"Well you're in danger, so I had to take you in. I didn't want you to fall or something so I secured you to a chair."

It was obvious he didn't believe it for a second. He began asking pointless questions and things that began to piss me off. I didn't want to hurt my friend but I needed him to know who was in charge. I put the plate down on a table and grabbed a steel cable before hitting him.

He swore as the cable came in contact with his face. He questioned why I would do that. I just told him it was for his own good.

"Lev, what danger am I in?"

"Tsukishima is hospitalized. He was almost dead and now they blame you."

"Me?! I don't even know him!"

"Tall blonde middle-blocker from Karasuno."

"Oh, that asshole? I might not like his attitude but I don't even talk to him."

I knew he would ask more questions so I taped his mouth shut. I dropped the cable and began to finish the food before it went cold.

"All I know is that they blame you for nearly killing him. So I wanted to be a good friend and get you out of trouble. You'll have to trust me. If you make one wrong move you'll be imprisoned or killed. Understand?"

He nodded, yet I could still see the confusion in his eyes. Everything I did it was for y/n. I had to protect her at any cost. Even if I have to put my friend's life on the line, I'd do it in a heartbeat for her.

~Yaku's POV~

There was something wrong with Lev. He wasn't telling me the entire truth. Maybe they did blame me for Tsukkishima's  injuries and his disappearance but it didn't make any sense. Lev seemed nervous about the situation when he originally went missing.

Could it be Lev?

Anything is possible at this point. He was holding me captive and he mentioned a plan about retrieving Tsukishima from the hospital. He said I would have to do it which didn't make any sense if I was one they were after.

Apparently he expects me to drag his body through a window and bring him to the "getaway car". I found a couple of flaws in his plan. The first one being that I didn't want to be apart of this. Second, Tsukishima is twice the size of me. Lastly, the hospital probably has cameras both inside and outside of the building.

He ripped the tape off of my face before asking if I was going to follow his plan. Immediately I said no. I did not want to do this. He hit me with the cord again. It stung my arm this time and nearly cut through my skin. I let out a pained scream before he asks me again.

"Dammit, Lev! I don't want to get in trouble with the police. I don't want anything to do with this!"

He hit me again this time a piece of the steel cut my cheek. I hissed as blood began to trail down my face. He looked pissed but also hurt. It was like it hurt him to see me in pain. He continued to hit me until I was nearly unconscious. He caught on to the game I was playing with him.
