~Kenma's POV~

I hadn't seen y/n for a while. She hasn't been contacting me lately and she's been missing from school. Kuroo suggested stopping by her house to see if she's home. I had noticed Lev and Yaku also disappeared around the same time.

"Do you think the disappearances were connected?"

"They could be. They were all friends and they all go missing around the same time. It seems suspicious to me."

"It's a shame the police are brushing it off."

"They have cases to handle, but they should do more than just put up missing posters."

"Yeah."

"We'll go to Yaku's house first since it's the closest. Then y/n's and Lev's."

"Okay. I hope she's safe."

"Me too."

As soon as school let out we headed to Yaku's house. We knocked at the door for a while without anyone responding. Maybe he ran away?

We turned away and began to walk towards y/n's house. Last time I was there she wasn't feeling well and Lev was taking care of her. If anything she'd probably be home since she mentioned something about not being able to leave.

She gave me a spare key so I could easily enter her home at any time. I never just showed up without at least calling her first but since she wasn't answering we just walked in. It looked as if nobody was home yet we searched the house anyway. We approached her room before Kuroo peaked inside first.

I walked inside the room before scanning it for any potential trace of y/n. Her phone was on the nightstand next to her bed and there was a paper on the floor. I grabbed the paper to see dots and dashes scribbled on it. They looked as if it was written in a rush.

"•••---•••"*

Kuroo looked at it confused. I continued to examine the paper until something finally clicked.

"Morse Code."

"Huh?"

"It's Morse Code. SOS I believe."

"SOS? Isn't that like a distress signal."

"Yes. Y/n might be in trouble."

"Well the only other place we can go to now is Lev's house."

We went outside and I locked the door. Maybe Lev was home. If he was we needed to question him. I told Kuroo not to bring up the note and he nodded. We took in the fresh air for a bit since Lev's house was a long walk from y/n's. The snapdragons* near Lev's house seemed to have recently bloomed.

We knocked at the door before we heard a noise coming from inside. Quickly Lev answered the door. He seemed annoyed and very irritable. It was obvious we came at a bad time but insisted on coming in anyway. Eventually, he let us in and signaled for us to wait a second. He walked out of the room while Kuroo and I exchanged concerned glances.

He returned with some water and mentioned that he was just tired. It wasn't even that late since the sun hadn't even started to set. He took a sip of water.
