Chapter 3

*four months later*

You had found out that the greenies name was Minho. You had also got two new greenies: Clint and Frypan. Clint was the Med-Jack, he took care of all of the medical needs in the glade and Frypan was the cook; Minho was a runner. He started to search beyond the stone walls into the maze to try and find a way out.

It's around the time that a new greenie is supposed to show up, you notice that there seems to be a pattern. So far every month it has been a boy, you were the only girl in the glade.

"Was I going to be the only girl here?" You thought to yourself but that thought was interrupted by the sound of the sirens going off from the boxes arrival.

"Another girl, Another girl" whispered Minho. You punched him in the arm.

"What am I not good enough then?"

"It's not that Y/n it's just that I want a girlfriend as well  as a best friend" you just laughed.  You and Minho had grown really close since he showed up. Probably because you understood everything that he was going through and because you loved how sassy he was without a care. It was nice to have someone to talk to in the glade and mess around with.

The doors flipped open as you looked inside you say a boy.

"Dammit" shouted Minho.

"Well Minho, you ordered a girlfriend and you finally got one. I'm so happy for you." You laughed, Minho didn't look too amused.

"Where the bloody hell am I?" Asked the boy.

"Why's his voice funny?" You slapped Minho in the arm once again.

"You can't say that Minho"

"Well what kind of a names Minho?" The boy asked, you realised that he was still sitting in the box. You helped him out as Minho was in awe of him.

"Feisty greenie, I like him" you could tell that Minho has made a new friend already.

"This is the glade" you said as you started to show the new greenie around. "I'm Y/n, you've met Minho, this is Alby, Fry and Clint."

"Fry?" Questioned the new boy.

"Short for Frypan greenie, I'm the cook." Said fry.

"I'm a Med-jack, I'm here for when you hurt yourself. So as long as you don't do that then my jobs  much much easier" laughed Clint.

"Alby is our leader." You said introducing him. "And Minho here is our runner"

"Runner?" You seemed to have confused the boy.

"He runs through the maze to try and find a way out of here" you were trying to clear things up but...

"The maze?" Oh boy.

"Look what you have done Y/n you've confused the poor shank." Said Minho.

"Shank?" Repeated the boy.

"Oh for god sake" laughed Minho.

"Leave him alone, you were just as clueless too" you pushed Minho away from the boy. "Let's show you round the glade." The boy followed you as you took him all around the glade. It was around nightfall when you had shown him into the homestead which was now fully built and into where he would be sleeping.

"Y/n?" Asked the boy as you were walking away.

"Yea greenie?"

"Is my name greenie?" He asked. You walked back up to him and sat down next to him.

"No it's just we have that nickname for people when they first show up in the box because you don't remember your name so what are we meant to call you?" He was beginning to understand. "There's a bonfire tonight to celebrate your arrival, you can come if you want since you are the reason we are having it." You and the greenie locked eyes. He had these beautiful blue eyes. "I think you should come"
