COMPARED TO THEIR FRIENDS, MALIA AND KIRA HAD A PRETTY EASY JOB AT EICHEN HOUSE.
After sneaking into the electrical room, Kira caused the brownout. Then, they were supposed to sneak into the morgue to meet up with the rest of the pack. When Theo and the other chimera showed up, their plan changed.
More guards left their stationed posts, all converging towards the riot in the Closed Unit. Malia and Kira stayed hidden, only moving after Tracy attacked the front desk workers. Luckily, they ran to the morgue with no other issues.
Except for the fact that the others were nowhere to be seen, and Eichen now was in lock down. All doors were bolted shut, electric to the touch. They couldn't get out.
Kira's fear started to rise, her control over her powers fading. She couldn't move a muscle, bright blue bolts sparking around her. Her eyes widened and she stared at Malia, in complete panic.
"I don't know how long I'm going to last," Kira stated, curling her hands into fists.
"How did you stop it before?" Malia asked.
"Scott carried me out, which almost killed him and made Sierra pass out."
Malia racked her brain, trying to think of a way they could leave Eichen without causing more harm to themselves or others. "Okay, um, maybe we could try grounding you to something?"
"Do you have a degree in electrical engineering?" Kira retorted, her voice wavering. "Because I don't know how to do that."
From all the metal in the room, Kira acted as a conductor. Malia ducked for cover as electricity sprung towards her, hiding behind an examination table. Kira winced, stumbling into the body-unit wall. She gripped onto one of the handles tightly, demanding, "You have to get out of here."
"I can't leave you!" Malia disagreed. Sierra and Stiles taught her no one ever got left behind.
Kira's breaths shortened, coming in short pants. "I should've, I should've stayed in the desert with the Skinwalkers," she cried, digging her nails into her palms. "I can't control this. I'm never going to be able to."
"Kira, it worked," Malia stressed, referencing the kitsune's powers. "You saw it work. You controlled it enough to cause the brownout. You can stop it!"
"I can't!" Kira shouted back, facing her with gleaming orange eyes. Her voice deepened, and she practically barked, losing control.
"Malia, go!"

Sierra sprinted down the hallways of Eichen, Stiles right on her heels.
For minutes they had been chasing Vallack and Lydia, trying to find where they disappeared. Sierra's connection with the banshee helped, and her feet seemed to guide her across the different floors. Eventually though, she halted at a corner and looked at her hands.
"It's gone," she stated, raising her panicked eyes to meet Stiles's. "I can't feel her anymore. It's gone."
"It's okay," Stiles assured her, placing a comforting hand on her shoulder. "They didn't get much of a head start. We can find her--we will find her."
Sierra opened her mouth to reply, but was cut off by Theo's voice. "Stiles, Sierra!" The two turned their heads to see the chimera jogging down the hall. "Look," Theo started when he reached them, holding up his hands in innocence. "I want her out of here, too. I can find her. I've got her scent."
"What do you want?" Stiles questioned him. His brain had been filled with questions since Theo approached them in the library. Theo always held a hidden motive; he didn't care about Lydia's safety. Stiles and Sierra did.
