Brought to Earth by her mother, alongside her twin sister, at the young age of six, both Azar and Artemis train under SHIELD to become Earth's heroes.
At the age of 16, SHIELD is "compromised" by HYDRA resulting in Azar being kidnapped to be torture...
A blonde woman stood at the meeting point, holding onto the hands of her twin daughters, as a black SUV pulled up, the SHIELD logo on the side of it.
Stepping out of the vehicle was a dark skinned man, dressed all in black and sporting an eye-patch, who looked at the woman and nodded at her.
Closing her eyes for a moment, taking in a deep breath, she stepped in front of the two little girls and knelt down.
"Okay," She spoke softly, staring at the little faces that held fear and sadness. "You're both 6 years old now, it's time for your training to begin." The woman tried her best to smile through the tears she was holding back.
"Why do you have to leave us, Mommy?" The youngest of the twin girls asked as she held onto her sister's hand.
The woman looked at her youngest and gave her a warm smile. "Because Earth needs their little heroes." She answered. "And I trust no one but Nick Fury with the both of you." She added before glancing back at the man who was none other than the Director that she had come to know.
The girls looked at their mother with tear filled eyes. The woman turned back to her daughters before looking at her eldest.
"Artemis, I need you to take care of your sister." She said causing the eldest twin, Artemis, to nod her head and squeeze the hand of her sister.
A tear slipped from the woman's eyes as she pulled her children in for a hug. Heaven knows she didn't want to let them go.
"I love you both so much," She whispered pulling back slightly. "My precious little girls." She kissed each of their heads before getting to her feet and nodding at Fury.
"Come along, Artemis and Azar." Fury motioned the twins over to which they did hesitantly, not before looking back to their mother, who nodded at them.
Watching Fury walk towards the black SUV with her daughters, it took everything for the blonde not to cry. She was leaving her daughters, the most precious things to her, behind.
But she knew that this was for the best. They would be safe here.
