"Lacerated spinal column, cracked sternum, shattered collarbone, perforated liver, one hell of a headache." Fury listed to the group while Artemis' wound was being treated.

"Don't forget your collapsed lung." The doctor piped up from his work on Artemis' shoulder, giving her a blood transfusion, curtesy of Azar and their compatibility of Kree blood and them being twins.

"Oh, let's not forget that. Otherwise, I'm good." Fury said.

"They cut you open, your heart stopped." Artemis spoke up.

"Yeah, shouldn't you be, and how do I put this delicately, dead?" Azar folded her arms.

"That was delicate?" Sam asked softly, causing the younger twin to shrug her shoulders.

"Tetrodotoxin B. Slows the pulse to one beat a minute." Fury explained. "Banner developed it for stress. Didn't work so great for him, but we found a use for it."

Steve who was silent for most of the time, finally spoke up. "Why all the secrecy? Why not just tell us?"

"Any attempt on the director's life had to look successful." Maria answered.

"Can't kill you if you're already dead." Fury added with a hint of a smirk. "Besides, I wasn't sure who to trust." This caused the group to look at each other.

Meanwhile, inside a bank vault, HYDRA agents were attempting to fix Bucky's metal arm.

While doing so, the soldier was getting brief flashbacks of his old life after he was taken by Zola and HYDRA agents.

His flashback shifted to him falling off of the train at the edge of a mountain, Steve reaching out to try and save him.

The flashbacks shifted again to when he's picked up by HYDRA agents before it shifted into Zola and the agents amputating his left arm and replacing it with a metal one before being put in cryo.

His flashbacks shifted once more, this time it was a little more recent and of a certain brunette.

Deep down, Bucky knew that this girl was special to him and for the life of him, he tried so hard to remember who this beautiful woman was.

This seemed to frustrate the soldier as he came back to the present, knocking over the HYDRA agent who was fixing his arm. Rollins immediately aimed his gun at the super soldier, preventing him from making any further attacks.

As Alexander Pierce was about to enter the vault, Rumlow behind him, a scientist warned him of the Winter Soldier's stability.

Pierce glanced at the scientist before entering with Rumlow, and a few more HYDRA agents, making his way over to the soldier.

"Mission report." Pierce said which earned him silence, Bucky staring blankly ahead of him.

"Mission report now." Pierce said again, this time more sternly.

Again, Pierce was met with silence. He moved closer and leaned down only to strike Bucky hard across the face.

"The man and woman on the bridge.." Bucky said with a raspy voice, while having a flashback to Steve and Azar calling him by his name. "Who were they?" He asked, looking up at Pierce.

"You met him earlier this week on another assignment." Pierce replied. "The woman, however, well you two have history here."

This caused Bucky frown deeply. "I knew them." He said softly.

Pierce sighed and pulled up a chair, taking a seat in front of the Winter Soldier. "Your work has been a gift to mankind." He began. "You shaped the century, and I need you to do it one more time. Society is at a tipping point between order and chaos. Tomorrow morning we're gonna give it a push. But, if you don't do your part, I can't do mine, and HYDRA can't give the world the freedom it deserves."

Bucky turned his head to look at Pierce. "But I knew them." He said again causing Pierce to sigh.

"Prep him." Pierce said as he stood to his feet, looking at the scientist.

"He's been out of cryo-freeze too long." The scientist replied hesitantly, shifting his gaze to glance at the soldier.

"Then wipe him and start over." The senior official ordered.

The scientist stepped forward and strapped Bucky down in the chair he was seated in. He then placed a mouth guard in Bucky's mouth for him to bite down on before the process of wiping his brain began.

All that was heard throughout the vault, was Bucky's pain filled screams.
