GALA was a beautiful and wealthy world at one point ruled by the Tallah Dynasty. Fairly close to Phindar. The Galacians native to the planet were divided into three tribes: the city people, the sea people and the hill people.
GALACIANS were humanoids from the planet Gala. They had place bluish skin and were frequently referred to as "moon people". They were known for their distinctive pale skin, a blueish tone they called "moonlight".
HILL PEOPLE were often persecuted for having darker eyes than the typical Galacian, fleeing the capital, Galu, made dwellings in the low mountains outside the city. Elan, the leader of the hill people, was the first child and heir to the former King Cana, chose to remain in the mountains after the election. Yet they began building a better relationship with the citizens of Galu.
AFTER the death of King Cana, Queen Veda realised that the monarchy was growing weaker and that the people wanted democratic elections. She held an election in 44 BBY. Qui Gon Jinn and Obi Wan Kenobi were sent to help the elections run smoothly. They foiled a plot by Lonnag Giba, head of the Council of Ministers, to seize control of the government. Wila Prammi was elected first Governor.
DURING the Clone Wars, the planet was located within the Separatist space.
