Capítulo 40

Three days

 "W-what?" Pumasok sa isip ko ang mga nangyari noong nag concert ako.

At that time, I excused myself so that I could go to the bathroom. After a while, there was a a loud bang that surrounded the whole arena. Someone had detonated a bomb.

May nag pasabog sa concert ko!

Nanlaki ang mga mata ko habang nakatingin kay Nico. Seryoso lang itong nakatingin sa akin. Huminga ako nang malalim habang nanginginig na ang mga tuhod ko. 

Ano nga ba ang dahilan noon?

"Ramil. That was the name of the man who wanted to abduct you on the day of your concert." 

May gustong kumidnap sa akin maliban kay Nico? Bakit? Anong rason? Para saan? Hindi ko maintindihan!

"Kaya mo ako kinidnap dahil doon? Alam ito ni Daddy? Ako lang ang walang nalalaman sa mga pangyayari?!" Nagugulahan at naiinis kong tanong. Nico sighed. 

"We don't know why Ramil wants to abduct you. All we know is that he is planning to make a terrorist group here in Luzon. One that can destroy the country's economy. One that will wreak havoc and cause fear to the nation's people."

Kinilabutan ako sa kaniyang sinabi. Ramdam ko ang pag bilis ng tibok ng puso ko. Oh my god! 

Kikidnapin ako ng ganiyang klaseng tao?! Hindi na lingid sa kaalaman ko ang mga terorista sa bansang ito lalo na't maraming balita ang tungkol sa kanila. Pinunasan ko ang mga luhang tumatakas sa mata ko. 

Alam ito ni Daddy pero hindi niya man lang sinabi sa akin? Paano nalang kung nakasalubong ko sila sa daan? Alam ito ni Nico pero itinago niya sa akin. Lagi kaming mag kasama pero kahit kailan ay hindi niya naisipang sabihin ito sa akin. Nasasaktan ako dahil parang ako lang ang walang alam sa lahat. I felt betrayed.

"Your father was talking to my father, days before your concert. Coincidentally, I was there. He said that Ramil wants to marry you but your father did not agreed. You were to young and innocent and Ramil is already in his 60s." 

"Ganoon na siya k-katanda? 18 palang ako at that time. Sobra naman siya!" Bulong ko habang humihikbi. Nico cleared his throat and proceeded on talking. 

"Your Manager, Tita Stacey was the daughter of our head house maid. I was really close to her. You we're her wallpaper back then. She was so devasted when she learned the news about you. She can't eat nor sleep properly because she is worrying about you. I took the opportunity to talk to your father along with my father and Tita Stacey. I was the one who propose the idea of kidnapping you temporarily. Your father doesn't want to alarm the authorities because war might happen. Fortunately, he agreed on my plan." mahabang paliwanag niya. 

It all make sense. I understand everything now. From the day I was kidnapped by Nico up to now. I can't believe that I have to wait for years to know the truth! May balak pa kayang sabihin ito sa akin ni Daddy? 

Pero bakit galit sa kaniya si Dad?

"A-ayun naman pala, pero bakit galit siya sayo?" tanong ko. He smiled at me but it did not reach his eyes. A gloomy smile. A smile that hint's pain.

"Three days, Angel. After three days, I will bring you back home but I became selfish and stupid that the supposed to be three days became six months. Our agreement was nulled because of my selfishness."

"But why?! Bakit mo pinaabot pa nang 6 months? Anong tumatakbo sa isip mo?" nahihirapan kong tanong. Nag iwas siya nang tingin.

"I wanted to be with you." He said in a husky voice. Kumunot ang noo ko sa sinabi niya.
