Jennie's POV

I've loved the same woman for as long as I could remember. My heart belonged to her since I was five, and we became official when we were teens.

That woman was Lalisa Manoban.

My knight.

My love.

My only one.

Our love was so strong that our parents became as inseperable as we were. Wherever she was, I was there, and wherever I was, she was there. My mom called her love and my dad called her darling.

She called them mom and dad as well. Her parents respected me and made me feel that I was their own daughter. We were expected to marry each other in the future and I would love that.

"I love you Jennie" She said to me as we cuddled on the sofa. It was a cold winter night and her touches were the only things that gave me warmth.

"I love you too" I flashed my gummy smile at her. One thing that I love about her is that she never fails to express herself to me. She then talks.

"Do you still remember our promise?" She asked and I nodded.

"We tell each other everything...Well 90% of it, because you wanted me to have some privacy for myself" I replied and she nodded. She's been getting really thin these past few days and I noticed and told her she should eat more.

She told me it was because of work, but it was okay because it was for our future.

I kissed her passionately and full of love. She pulled away and I saw her pale face.

"Nini I want to do a challenge" She said and I furrowed my brows.

"What is it?" I asked her

"I want us to ignore each other for 24 hours" She said and I looked at her, confusion was written all over my face as I asked her why.

"Just to know if we can or not" She said and I shook my head.

"But you already know we're inseperable" I told her but she whined and told me that this was just a challenge. So I gave her what she wanted.

"I'll miss you" She said as she kissed me on the forehead. Somehow, I felt like her kiss was a goodbye, but I ignored it. She was gonna stay at her parents house for the meantime, and I stayed in our house.

The house felt much colder when she left. Even if it was only gonna be 24 hours, it felt like it was going to be months.

Midnight came and I started to realize how fast time went when she would be here with me. Usually we would be on our bed planning our future, but right now all I had were cold sheets and her image on my mind.

I smiled as I saw her face. It gave me peace and because of that, I doze off into deep slumber.

I woke up the next morning expecting a tall figure was hugging me, but I suddenly remember that we had a challenge. There was still 10 hours left before she came back, so I busied myself.

Today was my day off and I didn't have much to do, so I went to our photo album. Lisa's baby pictures appeared infront of me as I turned every page. Then' I saw a picture of us when we were teens, with our friends.
