Was it worth it? The tears that Jennie shed every single night, because the thought of Lisa still kept on haunting her.
It wasn't scary anymore, it was frustrating, because Lisa wasn't real. It was the product of Jennie's loneliness.
Lisa was an imagination, a hallucination that she had, because she was so lonely that she started to dream about random people that she never met, and somehow a Thai that was inches taller than her, had plump lips, a small nose and doe eyes was the only one that kept reappearing in her dreams.
And it was frustrating.
Very frustrating.
Because Jennie was starting to fall for someone that didn't even exist. Lisa was just perfect, and you would know that Lisa was making her appearance a little too much in Jennie's dreams, because the brunette had somehow memorized every single detail about her face.
Jennie's life was once simple but these dreams were making it hard for her. She wanted to stop dreaming about this girl that she could never have, but she also didn't want to.
Because it was her escape.
When Jennie cried it was always Lisa that comforted her in her sleep.
When Jennie was tired Lisa would somehow cook for her and hum her a lullaby in her dreams.
When Jennie was miserable it would always be Lisa.
She was so addicted with this person that one night she decided that it was time to know what this person would look like when she was awake.
So she slept.
The first day she only stared at Lisa's lips in her dreams and drew it when she woke up. The second day her nose. The third day her eyes.
It went on for months, making sure that she drew every detail correctly, in hopes that she will find someone similar in real life.
"You're actually crazy" Irene, Jennie's bestfriend stated as Jennie told her about the drawing. Irene wouldn't believe her so she brought her to her house.
There Irene saw piles of scratch papers that Jennie had used. Her house was definitely a mess, and it was all because of a stupid dream.
"She looks familiar" Irene states and Jennie widens her eyes. "I feel like I've seen her in my dream too, saying that she wanted to meet a friend of mine or something, but it was a long time ago"
"Wait, what if it's me?"
"Jennie dont be so ridiculous and clean your apartment up. It was a dream and she's probably not even the same girl. Your dreams will go away some day. Why dont you try dating to forget all these ridiculous things you've done" Irene said and Jennie sighed.
"But I worked so hard sketching these"
"I know someone you could sell them too, just please stop doing things like this in the future. It's not possible that you'll find a woman exactly like her. We dream of the things that we cant do or have Jennie, it's normal" Irene said before leaving her apartment.
Jennie sighed for the tenth time as she cleaned her apartment, and left her finished sketch of Lisa in the drawer. She would sketch it on a proper canvas tomorrow and sell it to Irene's friend.
----------
It was the next day and Jennie decided to go on a date. She tried Irene's cousin, Kim Jongin.
"You're really fun to be with Jennie" He said with a smile. Jennie mirrored his action and he held her hand on the table.
"Im looking forward to getting to know you better" Jennie internally frowns. Dont get her wrong, the boy was charming, actually handsome too, but there just wasn't any spark at all.
