A shake on my left arm woke me, and I rubbed my eyes warily with my sweater sleeve before opening them.

"Hey," an older voice spoke, and once my drooping eyes focused, a face was in front of me. His other brother. "Hey, how are you doing?"

I sat up in my seat. "I'm okay," I responded with a slightly shaky voice as the panic of the situation slowly engulfed me again. "But him? Is he okay? Anything new?"

He shook his head. "No, I'm sorry." He sighed and I noticed the rest of the boys were there.

One. Two. Three. Four. Five. Six.

It was the first time I'd seen all of them here.

His brother looked at me again. "You should go home, it's really late."

"No," I said, before even thinking about what he was suggesting. It came out on instinct. "No."

"You've been here for a while, and there's been no new news-"

"No, please, please," I said as tears stung my eyes. "Wait, no please, I really would like to stay."

"Are you sure? Your family-"

"That's my family. In there," I pointed towards the patient room. "And here, I guess." I looked around at his brothers. "Please, I can't stand the thought, there's no way, please, please."

"I mean..." his brother stood up and looked at the others. "Are you okay?"

Tears came out, but I let them. I didn't want to get upset in front of all of them, but I was okay showing them how much I cared. "There's no way I could leave." The thought pulled at my heart.
