As soon as the doors of the boardroom closed behind her and Jimin, she was on him. She shoved him up against the wall and held onto his tie aggressively. "Listen here you shit, just so you know I'm not about to just roll over and let you fuck me or whatever sick and twisted fantasies you have in your head. I'm not gonna play happy families with you unless were around other people so you better get used to that idea right now." She spoke sternly, her anger at the situation coming through in her voice.

He raised his hands up in response. "Feisty, I like it." He spoke with a smirk on his face, before bursting into a fit of giggles. It positively confused her.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I just couldn't help it! I actually wanted to clear the air with you as well. The only reason I even agreed to do this was because my parents wouldn't shut up about me settling down with someone. I joked about them buying someone and I guess they took it seriously. I'm sorry you've been put into this situation and I'm gonna try my best to make your stay as comfortable as possible. I've even made sure you have your own room..." He rubbed the nape of his neck nervously at the end of his short speech.

"Oh." Carli had to admit she felt a little bad at the way she acted but she was still going to be cold and keep him at arms length. He would have to prove she can trust him. "I'm glad we're on the same page then." She strolled over to the table and leant against it, staring blindly at the wall.

"What are you doing?" He asked, amused at her actions.

"What? I'm not allowed to just stare at the wall blindly?" She snapped a little in response. He had completely thrown her with his little speech and she didn't have a backup plan on how to act so she was keeping to plan A.

"No, no, you are. I just thought we could at least be friends, you know? Or if you don't wanna talk about ourselves then we can discuss the terms of this? Like how we're gonna act around people?" He was fiddling nervously with his fingers and she definately picked up on it. She was good at reading people.

Carli sighed and nodded her head. "Okay, so terms?" She looked to him, waiting for him to speak.

"You can set them. I want you to he as comfortable as possible so you can set the boundaries." He smiled and shrugged at her.

"Okay, um, holding hands and hugs are fine. Kisses on either the forehead and cheek are the furthest I'm willing to go. Anything else is off the table. I guess I'm willing to talk to you when we're not around people but don't expect too much." She had begun loosening up as she spoke. She was sat on the table and just trying to chill out.

"That's reasonable. I hope that with time we can become friends. I know you'll probably be uncomfortable around me for a while bearing in mind the circumstances but if we've got to stay together I'd like to have a friend. I don't have many as it is." He looked at the floor shyly and played with the sleeves on his blazer. He seemed nice and considerate enough, she just wasn't in a place to be able to trust him. At least he understood why she was being standoffish.

"CARLI! JIMIN! YOU CAN COME BACK IN NOW!" The sudden shouting from her father caused the both of them to jump. He giggled quietly while she tucked her hair behind her ear and smiled the slightest bit. They both walked back down the hall and back into the living room.

"Everything's all sorted and we're ready to go! Carli, we have everything you need back at your new home. You can pack a few sentimental belongings but other than that you don't need anything." Jimin's mother spoke softly.

Carli had to admit she was shocked. She would have thought she could bring her own clothes but apparently not. She simply nodded, not wanting to cause any drama when she was about to get out of that godforsaken house. She quickly went upstairs and put the few things she cared about in a bag: her phone, an oversized burgundy hoodie and an old, frayed stuffed bunny. She smiled fondly at bag and made her way back downstairs.

"Ready to go?" His father asked.

"Yes." She replied and walked out the door without taking another glance at her parents. No goodbyes, no nothing. They didn't deserve it.

(A/n: okay so I wanna know what your assumptions are about the items Carli chose are. Why do you think she chose those of all things?)
