The longer Carli took to process things, the harder it got to stay away from Jimin. She kept wanting to just float down the hallway to his room and give him a hug. However, She knew she didn't have her head around everything yet and that it would end in her saying or doing things she might regret later on. So she forced herself to stay put in her room and think.

Her brain just couldn't seem to make sense of what he had told her and even though he had told her the truth it still felt like it was a lie to her. She had been spending her days staring at the wall and trying to work through the trust issues she has because of what he had said to her and she felt like she might finally be beginning to get somewhere. Even thought it still felt like a lie, she knew that it wasn't and she had finally learnt how to realise the difference between knowledge and emotions.

On the other side of everything, Jimin was practically tearing himself apart. Although she had forgiven him, his conscience still weighed on him. He knew there was one last thing in his mind that he wanted to tell her but at the same time he knew it was no where near the time to tell her such things. She said she needed to think and that always meant space so space is what he would give her. Even if he wanted nothing more than to burst through her door and tell her his true feelings. The last thing he wanted to do was scare her off though.

He knew if he told her his true feelings right away she would think that he only brought her for his own selfish needs when those truly weren't his true intentions. He did mean it when he said that he brought her to protect her because he wanted nothing more than for her to be safe. However, his feelings for her also meant that he would definately not be opposed to marrying her romantically but as so much had happened just being friends with her was more than enough for him. He'd get his feelings out in the open at some point, even if that point is a while away.

So as Carli had been trying to think and process, Jimin had been a complete mess. Well, the both of them had been a complete mess. Carli had been riddled with anxiety and the stress of having to work through issues and, although Jimin had the relief of telling her the truth, the feelings he had for her caused him to feel more guilty than ever. He knew it was irrational to feel guilty over his uncontrollable emotions but at the same time technically he had lied when he said he had told her the whole truth.

He had lied to her every time he had used the word 'friend' in his speech towards her. Everyday he had spent with her was technically a lie because he had been keeping the way he truly felt about her hidden. He wished that he had told her the truth when they were younger, when everything was simple. He wished that he could tell her the truth right now but he didn't want to put more on her that she already had to deal with. She didn't need the complication of his feelings while she was practically trying to process her entire childhood. So he pursed his lips and turned on the television in an attempt to distract himself from the feelings gnawing at his gut.

It had been an entire two weeks since Carli and Jimin had last seen anything of each other and it was beginning to rip them both apart from the inside. Carli didn't especially believe in the idea of soulmate but she had to imagine that this is what it must feel like if you were to be separated from one. It was as if half of her was missing, it was how she had been feeling ever since he had left her in that hellhole. The first night she stayed in her new home made it feel like everything was just right again, like she was whole again. She couldn't explain it then but now she finally could.

She decided that she had gathered her thoughts enough to finally be able to see Jimin again. She took a deep breath and stood up from her bed. As she walked towards her door, her nerves grew more and more. She was worried about what his reaction would be and how he would act. She kind of wanted things to just slip back into their normal routine rather than have it be made a big deal. All these worries and she wasn't even out her damn room yet.

She placed her hand on the doorknob, her hands shaking a bit. She closed her eyes and whipped the door open. On the other side stood Jimin, his hand up and eyes closed as if he was going to knock on her door. He moved his hand as if to knock and opened his eyes in shock when he realised that the door wasn't in his way. His eyes opened wide as he looked at her. He thought she was going to say that she still wasn't ready to see him but the words that came out of her mouth proved his assumptions wrong.

"I missed you." She whispered as she waddled the short distance to him with her eyes trained to the floor. She wrapped her arms around his waist and nuzzled into his neck, wanting to hug him like they always used to.

"I-I missed you too." He stuttered, not expecting her to hug him in the slightest. He wasn't complaining though. He wrapped his arms around her and rested his cheek against her head, wanting nothing more than for this moment to last forever.
