Chapter warnings: Mentions of blood and detailed process of cleaning a small wound.

Carli threw on the Hoodie and shorts and left her room. She strolled slowly one door down to Jimin's room. As she stood infront of the door, she hesitated to knock. She felt his room was a personal space where he could truly feel like himself, just as she did in hers. It felt like she would be invading his privacy as soon as she stepped through that door. However, he had been the one to invite her in so she took a deep breath and knocked on the door. It swung open to reveal a smiling Jimin.
"Hey, come in and make yourself comfortable. I'm just gonna run downstairs and grab some popcorn and stuff." He gestured for her to come in so she slipped past him as he slipped out the door and closed it gently behind him.
Carli wasn't one to snoop, but it was a little hard to not look at what was on display in the room. He had so many photos out on display. Most seemed to be family members. In them she couldn't help but notice that his smile never truly reached his eyes. She could tell he wasn't truly happy in them.
Eventually, she came across a photo that looked vaguely familiar to her. It was a picture of a young boy and a young girl, the boy was probably him. They were sat on a large branch of an oak tree, watching the sun set and holding hands. Carli picked it up and looked closely at it. She could have sworn she had seen it before, she just couldn't pinpoint where.
The door swung open and startled her, causing her to drop the photo. The glass from the frame shattered all over the floor and Carli looked it it, horrified at what she had just done.
"I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to drop it I just thought it looked kind of familiar so I picked it up to take a closer look and then you came in and Oh God I'm so sorry I'll clean it up." She completely missed the look of surprise on Jimin's face and the way he tried to stop her from doing anything about the broken frame. She got down on her knees and began cleaning up the broken glass. She picked up one piece a little too harshly and it caused her to cut her finger. "Ah, shit."
"This is why I was trying to get you to stop cleaning it up." He sighed and cupped her hand in his, causing both their faces to flush at the contact. "It's not too deep. Come with me to the bathroom and I'll help get you cleaned up."
He stood up from the floor and near dragged her along with him into the bathroom. He sat her down on the side of the bathtub and grabbed a first aid kit from one of the cabinets. He placed it down on top of the toilet and turned to Carli.
"Come over here, you need to rinse it under the tap so we can see what we're working with here." She stood up and walked over to him, placing her thumb beneath the tap as he turned the faucet. She hissed at the feeling of cold water flooding into the wound and closed her eyes to distance herself from the situation.
Jimin carefully moved her hand so that the wound was facing upwards and he could see it clearly. He sighed when he saw that there wasn't any glass shards stuck. He left her hand under the running water as he grabbed the first aid kit and opened it to get out what he needed. When he was ready to begin cleaning her up, he got a paper towel and moved her hand away from the water. He patted it dry and put a little pressure on it so that the blood didn't get in the way of where the plaster would go. He got some antiseptic wound spray and sprayed it over the wound as he moved the paper towel away. His eyebrows knitted together in sympathy when he heard Carli hiss in pain again. He quickly put a plaster over the wound and put everything away.
"All done." He exclaimed happily as he put the first aid kit back to where it was. Carli slowly opened her eyes to see that the wound was covered with a plaster and sighed in relief.
"Thank God, I hate blood." She played mindlessly with the plaster on her finger, feeling how smooth it felt beneath her skin.
"You never did like blood." He muttered to himself as he stared at her, as if in a trance. Not enough for her to understand but enough for her to hear slightly.
"What was that?" She asked in a soft tone, genuinely wondering what he had said.
"Oh, nothing. Just talking to myself like a weirdo. Ready to watch the movie?" He looked around the room, trying to distract himself from her. He had recognised the hoodie she was wearing a while ago and as much as he wanted to scream in joy he knew it was better to just keep quiet for now.
"Yeah, what are we gonna watch?"
"I don't mind, you can pick something."
"Okay." The both if you walked over the the sofa and settled infront of the TV. Carli just clicked on the first thing that came up on Netflix as she didn't really mind what they watched.
The movie played and the two of them sat in silence, mindlessly eating a snack every now and then. Neither of them were really paying attention to he movie. The only reason they were looking at the screen was because they were trying their best not to look at each other.
Tension seemed to build and build between them and it was like they had to force themselves to not move their heads instead of just relaxing. The both of them knew something would probably happened eventually but neither took notice until a romantic scene came up.
The two main characters were on a date and were getting all lovey dovey together. Jimin and Carli found themselves wanting that to be them internally but neither would ever voice those thoughts. However, that doesn't mean neither wouldn't do anything about it.
Jimin decided to take a leap of faith and bit by bit he inched his hand closer to Carli's until their finger tips were touching. Carli jumped a little in surprise and glanced over to Jimin quickly, his eyes were trained on the screen.
His hand stopped moving, as if asking for her permission to hold her hand. She decided that it wouldn't do any harm to indulge a little and intertwined their fingers together. An inaudible sigh of relief slipped past Jimin's lips.
As the movie continued, the two of them slowly sunk further and further towards the middle of the sofa. If you asked either of them, they would have said that it was simply the angle of the sofa cushions and gravity but inside they both knew they had subconsciously been moving towards the other.
When they had both finally sunk to the middle of the sofa, Carli had begun to get sleepy. So she let her guard down and allowed he rhead to lull to the side, resting onto Jimin's shoulder. He tried his best not to jump at the sudden action and relaxed into the feeling. He wrapped his arm around her back and she sunk further into him, drifting in and out of consciousness.
They both stayed like that for a while. Even when the movie had finished and the credits had been and gone, he let her sleep on him. He found it so adorable how she cuddled into him as she slipped further into sleep. She would let out little mumbles and snuggle into him afterwards. And Jimin couldn't help thinking to himself that there was no place he would rather be than in that moment. And he was right to wish that the moment would last forever because soon after that, everything went to shit.
