It was a surprise to both Carli and Jimin that, even after all the time that had gone by, they slipped back into how they used to be so easily. They had their old rhythm back and it made both of them happy beyond belief. They spent their days just chilling and hanging out together and their evenings watching the stars and having deep conversations. The deep conversations was a newer thing but it wasn't anything either was opposed to. Jimin had always found it hard to say what he was feeling and Carli welcomed the improvement with open arms. Whether that meant just sitting and listening or trying to help him see the reality of things, she was there for him just as he was there for her.

Months had gone by now and they were both content with everything in their lives. Well, almost everything. Jimin was still keeping the cap on his bottle of feelings for her and Carli had found herself falling more and more in love with him as the days went by. They were both pretty much madly in love with each other but neither if them knew how the other felt.

Even though they both had feelings for each other, they didn't want to break or ruin what they had. Jimin had never really had friends as they all took advantage of him and Carli had been too caught up in her life to realise when anyone was being genuine to her so she just kept herself away from friendships. It just meant that being friends meant so much more to them than it would to many people and if protecting that meant some internal emotional suffering they were willing to go through it.

However, as many know, it's only so long until the emotions get too much to handle and it gets to a point where it's too painful to be with them and too painful to not be with them so you're just stuck on an equilibrium of emotional pain so intense that it's, quite literally, impossible to deal with on your own. So, what gets these feelings out? Alcohol.

It was late one evening and Jimin was feeling the impact of keeping his true feelings hidden. He had never been the best at dealing with such things so he decided that maybe if he had a drink and let loose everything would just fade away into the background. So he made his way downstairs, grabbed a bottle of Tequila and some shot glasses, and went back up to his room.

He had never seen Carli drink and wasn't sure if she liked alcohol or not so he placed the bottle and shot glasses down on the table on his balcony and strolled over to her room. He knocked on the door and waited for her to answer. When she opened the door, she gave him a questioning look as if asking what he wanted.

"Would you like to join me in getting very very drunk or am I going to be getting drunk alone this evening?" He asked, a grin on his face.

"Oh my God, yes please. I haven't gotten drunk in ages I could really do with it if I'm being honest." She jumped slightly, excited at the thought of being completely out of it for once.

They both made their way to Jimin's room and got themselves comfortable on the sofa he had on his balcony. Jimin opened the bottle and poured some of the liquid into two shot glasses, filling them to the brim. He picked up his, already spilling some on the sofa, and raised it up as if to make a toast. Carli quickly picked hers up and copied him, waiting for him to speak.

"And now, let the drinking commence!" He exclaimed and downed the shot, wincing as it burned his throat slightly.

"Such beautiful words." She joked, acting as if she was choking up at his words. He giggled and she downed the shot.

As the night went on, more and more shots were taken and they both just got more and more drunk. It had gotten to the point where they were both just giggling at everything and slurring their words, pretending they could make sense if what was coming out of the others mouth. They were in the middle of a laughing fit when Jimin suddenly began acting all serious, causing Carli to just laugh even more.

"Why ya look that?" She asked.

"I have ssomething I neeeed to tell you. Like, no-ow." He slurred, hiccuping at the end of his sentence.

"Ight, lay it on me big man." She flapped her hands weakly towards her as if signalling for him to come closer.

"Okay, okay." He scooted over so that he was next to her. Next to her meaning practically sat in her lap. "Yyou havve to promise you not gonna h-hate me, okay?"

"I could never hate you, Jiminie." She whispered softly as she looked up into his eyes.

"I know we said no more liess but I mayhaps have been lying for a while now..." He trailed off. She looked at him urgently with her eyes, as if begging him to continue.

"You know how I say you're such a great 'friend'?" He air quoted the friend part. "Well, really what I want to say is that I'm madly in love with you and have been for ages." He blurted the words out as quickly as he could and scrunched his eyes shut, waiting to get rejected.

The rejection he had expected never came. What came instead was the feeling of soft lips against his. He gasped a little in surprise before quickly relaxing into it. He poured all of the emotions he had built up over the years into it and he could tell that she was doing exactly the same. He ended up having to stop the kiss as it was getting a little too far and he was sober enough to know that starting a relationship with drunk actions was never the best idea. They both pulled away smiling and Carli looked up to him and said the words she never thought she would be able to say to him.

"I'm madly in love with you too."

(A/n: okay so this might be the last part or I might write a bonus chapter or an epilogue but it depends on whether I can actually think of something to write or not.)
