The next day Remus found himself up in his room. He knew his mother and father had moved him there from the basement where he spent the full moon. He lied there for a long moment until he gained the strength to sit up. He looked to the side to see a letter sitting on his side table. He opened it and read is as he never got mail. None of his family did.

He sat there for a moment more

He sat there for a moment more. A little shocked. He knew his father attended Hogwarts but the only difference was his father wasn't a werewolf. As far as he knew werewolf's weren't allowed to attend Hogwarts so why was he an exception to that? Did they even know? How would the greatest school of Witchcraft and Wizardry react when they found out? He wasn't complaining. Just confused on why. His thoughts were then interrupted by his mother.

"Hey dear. How's your head?"

Remus of course had no idea what she was talking about.

"Good I think. I haven't noticed any pain."

"Yes that's because your father healed it for you. I should have known that."

"It's ok mum honestly." He never wanted her to worry about him after all there was nothing she could do. She came and sat on his bed with him that's when he decided they needed a topic change.

"I got excepted into Hogwarts!" He said with excitement in his voice.

"I kinda guessed but I'm so proud of you" she embraced him in a hug. He loved his mother's love. It was the only love he ever knew. His father goal was to isolate him from the world. Never to love him. His last and first names both literally meant wolf. Just when you thought you had it bad.

"Anyway I'm going to assume your hungry?"

"Yeah but I can't" he was interrupted by his mother.

"Keep much down right. Toast?"

"Sounds nice." She got up and left the room leaving Remus alone again. He wasn't one to complain about being alone he found it rather peaceful in the silence. The only bad part about the silence is the thoughts that trail along with it. The what if's. The why's. The how's. The voices all come flooding in at once. Flooding his mind with thoughts unfortunately more bad then good. That's what he was used to. Being overlooked and underestimated. He had always been an underachiever due to his condition and father. If it was up to his mother he would have a normal life. But it wasn't.

His mother returned and left his food there while her and his father went into town. Well to London but into town as he called it. To him all towns and cities were the same. He had never been allowed in any city or town. Actually he had never been allowed out of his yard ever since the incident. Ever since he made the mistake. When he made the assumption that he could do it. Ever since then his biggest regret was doing what he did. He was only four though he didn't know any better. What four year old does?

As he lied there and relived the trauma everything became pointless. Remus suddenly didn't feel hungry anymore. He would give anything for a normal life. To not have this condition he did. To be able to go to school, talk to other kids, play with other kids. Remus was always jealous of other kids for the life they had compared to his but he had no other choice to keep everyone safe but now. He would be in a school with hundreds possibly thousands of kids. How would he keep them safe? He had no idea but he was willing to try. Any chance for a normal life well as normal as it gets at a school that teaches magic.

He felt like he had a slight advantage over other kids as his father taught him spells every other day. He already knew spells that anyone attending first year at Hogwarts wouldn't know. Not that he would say anything it would be nice to relearn and brush up on his skills. It couldn't hurt to learn right? It was safe to say he had no idea how he was going to do it but he was willing to try. He didn't even take notice of the time the only thing that made him take notice of the time was when he heard the door open and his mother yell.

"Honey we're back!"

He sat himself up very slowly due to the pain in his hip. His mother came in with a bag and his father leant on the doorway.

"No need to worry ok? we sent an owl to Hogwarts and got your stuff."

"So behave!" His father added from the door.
Remus leant over and hugged his mother. He felt her do the same. As they pulled away she kissed his head and walked out with his father. Remus laid back down. He just couldn't find the strength to sit up eventually his eyes closed and laid his mind to rest with for the first time in what seemed like forever. Happy thoughts.
