That week had gone very slow after Sirius snapped at James, you could tell James wasn't yelled at much because he went silent for the rest of the day but was fine when they woke the next morning. The moon was getting closer and Remus was becoming more nervous and unsettled. The day of the full was even worse for his nerves. He had been counting down the days to it like he usually did but today a lot more people then just his mum and dad were at risk. He woke up and got ready but this time instead of reading while waiting for his friends to wake up, he went down to the great hall for breakfast. He was alone jut staring at the table for a while before Sirius gave him a heart attack.
"Hey!" He shouted sitting down next next to Remus snapping him back to reality. "Sorry didn't mean to scare you" Remus looked at him when he said this. His eyes immediately found Sirius' light blue eyes already watching him. He was hesitant to reply mainly because he couldn't find the words.
"Um It's, it's ok Sirius I was just. off in another world." He looked away from Sirius, he had to or he would get lost in his eyes. "Sorry" he muttered as he turned his head.
"Sorry what was that I didn't quite hear you?"
"Oh nothing" he said thinking of if he said or did anything wrong. Nothing that he could think of but what would he know he hadn't had human contact in 6 years. "What are you up so early."
"What?"
"I'm sorry. Don't take that the wrong way I mean you are usually the last one up. Sorry forget I said anything."
"Remus calm down, it's ok. I was just joking around." It went quiet between the two for a moment before Sirius spoke up again breaking the silence. "The door woke me up when you left and I saw you were gone so I came to check if you were ok." Remus froze on the spot at what he had just said. "You ok Remus?"
"Yeah it's just."
"Just what?" Remus could feel Sirius looking at him when he said it waiting for a reply. Part of him didn't want to reply but the other part of him did.
"No body has ever cared about me like that" he looked back to Remus and tried not to get lost in his eyes again. Sirius looked at him shocked that no one had ever cared about this boy sitting in front of him.
"No one?" He asked just to double check.
"No one" Remus confirmed shocked that anyone care in the slightest. It was then James and Peter came bursting through the doors and down to where the boys were sitting causing them to stop their conversation.

They had finished breakfast and left off for transfiguration. They day went slow which Remus didn't mind. Potions followed transfiguration. their break was 'to short' according to James but not short enough for Peter. They then went to charms and a class they all hated. History of magic. For lunch they headed back up to the common room and laid around talking and laughing. Remus looked back over to Sirius when he laughed for what had to be the first time Remus had seen. He remembered their conversation their conversation that morning and wondered if Sirius remembered it even happened. They went off to Herbology followed by Defence against the dark arts. Remus had left class with the boys knowing what he had to do. Not that he wanted to but he had no other choice.
"So I say we go back and chill in the common room what do you boys think?" James asked waiting for an answer and Remus was first to reply.
"I'm so sorry guys but I have to go home to see my sick mother this afternoon remember." They all wished him luck but as he was walking away he heard Sirius say something before they headed up to the common room as Remus walked in the other direction tears forming in his eyes.

When he reached Professor Mcgonagall's office she was inside at her desk waiting for him.
"Glad you remembered mister Lupin."
"How could I forget?"
"Madam Pomfrey is waiting at the willow for you head down there and she will give you instructions" it made him think what they were going to do. "Good luck and I'm sorry" she added as he walked out of her office. He walked down the hall thinking about tomorrow's injury's when his thoughts were interrupted.
"Remus!" Someone shouted behind him as he turned around as someone hugged him. Wrapping their arms around his neck. It took him a moment to realise who it was but once he did he hugged him back. After a couple of minutes they pulled away staring at each other and getting lost in the others eyes.
"Sorry I just couldn't let you leave to see your mother without hugging you." There was a pause for a second before Remus spoke.
"No one has ever done that to me before" Sirius could see the tears forming in his eyes.
"Really?" He asked shocked that this boy had never been hugged. "Don't worry your mum will be ok. Just come back to me ok?"
"Don't worry I'll be back Sirius" he turned from Sirius when he saw tears start to for in Sirius' eyes. "See you soon Sirius"
"See you soon Remus good luck with your mother" he replied turning away thinking Remus has done the same but Remus stood there are listed to Sirius walk away letting tears falling down his own cheeks. When he couldn't hear Sirius he took a breath, wiped the tears from his face and walked down to the willow.

"There you are hun I almost thought you had forgot" she said standing a distance from the tree. Remus just shook his head and went to join her. He noticed that she was holding a long stick. "I'll come down just before every moon to make sure this is here for you." She walked over to the tree and poked a knot in the tree with the stick and it stopped moving. "Poke the knot with the stick and you will have access to that tunnel" she said pointing to it. That will lead you to the shreaking shack where you will spend the night. I will be back in the morning to check on you good luck sweetheart don't damage yourself to much" she said turning and walking away as he went down the tunnel.

It was long, narrow and dark it seemed to go one for ever but eventually he reached the end. He climbed the stairs and pushed open the trap door above him, closing it as he went in. The shack had a weird darkness falling over it but it had a sense of safety. He took off his robes so they didn't get destroyed during the transformation. He stood there for a moment staring out the window before he started crying again. There on the floor Remus sat, knees tucked to his chest resting his head on them as he cried. It wasn't the fact that in a matter of minutes he would be the monster he knew but more that he remembered Sirius. 'Just come back to me ok?' The question kept repeating in his head and all he could do was cry and whisper.
"I'll try Sirius. I'll try." That was the last thing he thought before his mind was being ripped from him. His whole body was burning. He should have been used to the pain by now but he never was.

A/N
Hi. Sorry it took a while to get it out but just a couple of things.
1. I'll be moving the story to Remus' POV except for full moons which will most likely be Sirius'.
2. I'm not from Scotland. I don't know what your schooling system is like so I'm going to try and keep it as close to it as I can but I'm also going to work the days like our school system does so if it's not exact that's why.
But that's about it so hope you all a good day. See you in the next chapter.
