Months had passed and it was now the first of September and his father had taken him to London more importantly to Kings Cross station.

"Right platform nine and three quarters is where we're going. Do you know what your doing? Of course not." He didn't even give Remus a chance to say anything.

"What I want you to do is run at the wall." Remus knew better then to question his father so he did it and to his surprise it worked. His father wasn't far behind him.

"Right now behave if I hear one mess up your done boy!" His father shouted before leaving the platform. Remus was able to get his stuff on the train and go sit down. For what he thought was his luck he was alone the way he preferred it. The train began its journey to Hogwarts and Remus opened his book and began to read where he left off. He was reading for what for him didn't feel that long but he realised it was dark outside he didn't care he still had light to read so that's what he would do. It wasn't long before he was interrupted by a knock at the compartment door he looked up from his book as the door slid open.

Two boys also starting their first year were standing there. One with glasses and messy dark brown hair he stood taller then Remus but looked just as shy. The other had black hair that fell to his shoulders and was a little shorter then the other.

"Hey. Umm everywhere else is full can we sit here?" The boy with glasses asked. Remus looked at his book and back to the boys.

"Sure I'm only reading no harm can come of it." The first contact he had since he was four. The boys stepped in as he looked back down to his book and smiled to himself. The other boys were talking in quiet whispers for a minute before one asked.

"I'm James Potter you are?" He asked as Remus looked up.

"Remus Lupin"

"Pleasure. That's Sirius Black" he said gesturing to the other boy with long black hair.

"It's lovely to meet the both of you." He replied returning his attention to his book. He had only read a few sentences when James questioned him on the one thing he forgot about.

"Remus what are all the scars from?" He asked ever so casually. Sirius elbowed him in the rib age from what he could see was rather hard.

"Ow what was that for I was just asking!" James raised his voice at Sirius causing Remus and Sirius to flinch.

"You don't ask people that James." Sirius replied in a low tone of voice turning his attention away from James, who obviously didn't know what he did wrong.

"Sirius it's ok I don't mind it was an accident but I would rather it if you didn't ask again James it was a traumatic experience." He added returning to his book. Boy would James need a lot of training but he was willing to take it on. It was mainly small talk and silence the rest of the way Remus was looking at his book but barely reading but thinking.

Remus's P.O.V
I took into mind what the boys had said. James must have thought he said something wrong because he was quiet for the rest of the way. In a way he did say something wrong you didn't just ask someone you know about stuff like that but then Sirius's words and tone of voice came to mind. 'You don't ask people that James.' He was right I wasn't about to deny that but how did he know? Was it from personal experience or did he have something he was hiding to? What ever it was what James had said must had given him flashbacks because he was silently staring out the window and would flinch every now and again.
End of Remus's P.O.V

Remus focused more on his book now and the other two minded their own businesses. The remaining time on the train was short they knew they were close when an announcement echoed through the train
