Nothing was moving. Everything was completely still. Or at least that's how it felt when there was no wind. The forests of Green Hills were always calm and so was the whole town. On this particular morning however, the forest wasn't nearly as silent as it normally would be. There was a voice speaking rather impatiently as if whoever it belonged to was in a hurry.

"Come on, school starts in fifteen minutes so can we just get on with it please?" the girl asked as she stared into the cavern. She had been out there for quite some time, waiting for the inhabitant of said cave to finally come out. Sighing she grabbed the bottle that she had placed on top of a rock and took a sip of her drink. "Look I know you live here, and I know you come out during the mornings too so can you just please come out before I have to leave? I know that me speaking isn't probably helping and it's only making you more cautious, but I really need this shot." She looked up to the sky which she could see between the leaves above her. "Why do I do this to myself?" she sighed and turned back to the cave with her camera ready. "I just want one picture. One. That's all I need and then I'll never have to bother you again," she whispered.

Then suddenly there was something. A few leaves crackled in the breeze that suddenly touched her skin. That breeze was no ordinary one and she knew it. This wasn't the first time she felt it touching her. Slowly her gaze turned to the direction the sudden gust of wind had come from and a smirk grew on her face.

Too bad that she wasn't even allowed to take a step before she had to turn her attention somewhere else. The smirk on her face was gone as the sound of her phone ringing made its way to her ears. Somewhat annoyed by the interruption she reached for her phone and read the caller id before answering, "Hi, what is it mom?"

"Hi honey. Um, are you at school right now?" asked the voice of her mother. There was a certain hit of confusion in her voice which the girl picked up on but didn't really care.

"Of course. Where else would I be?" she replied nonchalantly and glanced at the forest surrounding her.

"Oh, okay. It's just that your school bag is in the hallway and it seems like your camera bag is missing," Maddie answered.

The girl's eyes widened as she turned to see her school bag nowhere in sight. "Oh no," she whispered and immediately started packing her camera away. "Um, okay I'm just gonna run back there and... Yeah, I'll just do that."

"Wait Y/N, yo-" Maddie started but couldn't finish as the line cut off. "Typical," she sighed and turned to look at the golden retriever sitting by her feet. "You're the only one in this family that lets me finish my..." she started but the dog got up and left the hallway as Maddie watched after him, "...sentences."

"Sorry!" the girl shouted as she narrowly avoided several pedestrians on the Main Street of Green Hills. "This can't happen again," she sighed as she turned toward her street. "It feels like the same day but every time I'm late for a different dumb reason!" she complained. "Well, almost late," she added. In fact, during that year, she hadn't been late once. Sure, there were some really close cuts, but somehow, she always managed to be everywhere just in time.

Panting, she pushed the front door open. Leaning against the wall a few feet away from her was the bag she was missing. She ran to it and was about to grab it from the ground, ready to wear it and immediately get to school after that. Just as her fingertips were about to touch it however, the bag rose up. Confused, she looked up to see her mother standing there with a stern look on her face.

"What?" she asked but her mother didn't say anything. She only raised her eyebrows much to her confusion. "What is it? I can't read minds okay and I gotta get to school like now!"

Maddie raised her hand showing her daughter the car keys, "We're driving."

She glanced at the keys and looked to her mother again. "Okay then," she replied confused. Both her and Maddie left the house and entered the car. Once she was done with her seatbelt, she fully expected them to zoom through the streets and to the school, but Maddie hadn't even started the engine. "Um, mom?"
