Tom was parking his car to the driveway of his house when he once again saw raccoons rummaging through the trashcans. Annoyed he honked the horn a few times to see if they would go away, but the creatures didn't even flinch.

As he got out of the car, he turned to the raccoons annoyed, "Get out of there. Come on," he said trying to drive them away, but as the creatures still didn't listen, he raised his voice, "Oh, come on! Get out of there! Get out of there, you trash pandas." The raccoons seemed to have somewhat understood him as they took off into the forest behind the house. He sighed walking over to the door and opening it.

"Maddie, as Green Hills' most respected veterinarian, what is the fastest way to exterminate a raccoon?" he asked as he hung his belt on the wall. He turned to see his golden retriever Ozzy coming up to him and he immediately bent down to pet him. "Hi, Ozzy. Hello! You're glad to see me. You don't eat garbage, do you?" he said to the dog, but then noticed Maddie holding an envelope in her hands. "What's that?" he asked as he got up, "Is that what I think it is?"

"Uh-huh," Maddie nodded, "Open it."

Tom walked over to her and took the envelope eyeing it worriedly. "Oh, it's kind of small. Is that bad?" he asked as he glanced at her.

"Just open it," Maddie reassured, and Tom began to slowly open it as he walked to the kitchen with Maddie right behind him.

He took out a letter and cleared his throat before reading out loud, "Dear Thomas: We have reviewed your application to the San Francisco Police Department, and pending interdepartmental review and background check, we are happy to inform you that you have been selected to join our team."

"Oh, my god!" Maddie chimed in excitedly.

"Wow!" Tom said amazed, "Oh, my god."

Maddie took a box from beneath the counter and opened it. "Ta-da!" she said as Tom looked at the cake baffled. The cake portrayed the Golden Gate Bridge in flames and had the text "Forget those morons, San Francisco sucks" written over it.

"San Francisco sucks," Tom read out loud as Maddie turned to the cake surprised.

"Oops," she smiled as she put the box back under the counter before setting another one on the table. "Ta-da!" she laughed as Tom snickered seeing the cake that portrayed him in a police uniform and a text saying "Congratulations. We never had a doubt"

"You never had a doubt, huh?" he joked.

"No! Mm-mmm," Maddie said shaking her head before giggling again.

The two of them kissed before embracing each other. "I can't believe this," Tom said still surprised by the news.

"Oh, I know! You did it," Maddie smiled to him.

"Where's Y/N? She's gonna be so excited when she hears about this," Tom said as he began to walk toward the stairs thinking his daughter was in her room.

"Not there," Maddie said and pointed to the back of the house. "She took her camera and went to the yard. Apparently to get a pic of those raccoons when they're escaping to the forest."

Tom's face turned into a grin, "Of course." It didn't surprise him to hear she was out and taking pictures again, and he felt almost stupid for thinking she would've been in her room. He walked to the backdoor and wasn't surprised to see a flash of light illuminate the yard.

Just moments before Tom had arrived, Y/N had gone to the backyard with her camera. Her plan was rather simple. Tom would come home and drive away the raccoons that would then run into the backyard. It was the perfect moment to get a picture of them in a somewhat natural setting.
