"You cant control my life. I need freedom!" I shout leaving the house.
"Artie get your arse back in here right now!" My mum shouts after me.
But I just ignore her as I begin to run. I run as fast and as far as I possibly can.
Why does everyone I know want to change me. Try and solve me like a puzzle, when I'm a puzzle without a picture, I'm that broken toy at the top of your cupboard with all the bits but no glue and slowly over time you forget that I was once your favourite toy. Why do I need to be fixed?
I snap out my thoughts when I realise where I truly am.
The city. Actually the other side of the city, the place of druggies and drunks. I look up to see some smoke coming from one of the alleyways beside me.
"Whats a pretty face like you doing in a place like this." Some man slurs coming up to me slouching his arm over my shoulder. I shrug him off and continue walking trying to not lash out at this random person.
"Hey, don't be like that," he says with the biggest smile on his face.
"Just leave me alone," I mutter making sure he doesn't see me.
"What was that darling?"
"I said leave me the fuck alone!" I shout finally looking up to see whom is lurking over me. "Just go away Martin." I sigh as voice now lowers, and I stop walking.
"No. How about you come with me and we can get a drink and get your mind off of things, how's that sound?"
"No I need to get home just go," I say pushing him. He then relies that I'm actually serious for him leaving so he swings his body around and walks into the smoky alleyway.
I smiled in relief as I myself returns to a slow and steady stroll. I look down at the ground then back to the sky when I relies that I'm lost.
I'm lost in the city.
