-Blythe, you were supposed to get Delphine to sleep, not yourself, you know?- Bash said in front of him, holding the little girl.

The boy fluttered his eyes open and sighed. His whole body was tense and aching, so he stretched a little bit. He had slept in the armchair. Shit, today I've got Cole's party and I'm already exhausted.

-Mmh what?- he said as he moved some curls out of his eyes, repeating to himself for the hundredth time that he had to get it cut.

-You look terrible, boy- his friend scoffed when he saw his swollen eyes and the dark semi-circles under them.

-Thanks.

The boy went straight into the bathroom and took a quick morning shower before having breakfast, hoping that it would provide some energy. He let the warm water fall on his face as he closed his eyes and passed his hands through his hair. After some minutes of relaxation in the shower, he dried his hair off with the towel and then wrapped it around his waist. He went into his room to find Jerry leaning over a pile of clothes.

-Morning Jer, did you get a nice beauty sleep last night?- He scoffed ironically.

-You needed it more than I did. You look like shit, Blythe.

-Thanks to your snoring. What were you looking for anyway?

-My denim jacket.

-You know, there's something called being tidy which is actually great. For example, I want my boxers, I just have to open the drawer because that's the only place I keep them in- he explained and showed.

Jerry rolled his eyes and kept on looking until he found it. The room was now four times messier since the new roommate had left his clothes scattered around it. The curly-haired boy shook his head with a light chuckle as he got dressed.

Breakfast was ready when a very exhausted Gilbert arrived at the kitchen.

-Good mo...- he started saying, but stopped himself when he noticed something- Hey, where's Shirley?

-She has already left, but you can still wish us a good morning- Mary said with a playful smile.

-That was a clear manifestation of his priorities; Anne is in the first place- Jerry said as he patted the boy's back and walked past him.

-Wait, Mary, when did she leave?

-See, he ignored the comment because he can't deny it- Bash added and then high fived the french boy.

-I don't know, she left before we woke up. You can read the note if you want, it's on the counter.

     Dear Bash and Mary,

I've left early because I have to head to the library to grab a book for my maths class, so don't worry if I'm not in my room. I hope you have an outstanding morning.

                                                                                                                 Love, Anne

He furrowed his eyebrows in confusion. We don't need any book for our math class, what are you up to Shirley?

-Why that face, boy? Are you sad she isn't here to brighten up your morning?- Bash added with a smirk, then looking at Jerry who was wearing one too.

-Oh, shut up- Gilbert said rolling his eyes, a habit that he had gotten from spending too much time with the redhead- Well, I better head off, I have to look for my maths book too.
