A/N: This took a very long time! I'm so sorry! Yesterday I had a history test for which I had been studying for days, so I haven't had much time. Anyway, here goes chapter 18 (finally)!
The peaceful city near Avonlea lost all its calmness when the group of teenagers arrived. They had all agreed on going Christmas shopping together, so they were now running towards "Walmart", squealing and laughing, and some others complaining. Cole and Anne hopped excitedly, dragging Jerry into the shop.
Of course, everything was about to become a competition. Josie Pye was especially known for her mastermind when turning everything into a game. Many times before she had been the planner of the 'spin the bottle', the 'Secret Santa', 'truth and dare', among others. And that case was no exception.
-Guys, listen up! Christmas shopping is now a competition...Everyone will find a pair, with whom to buy everything on your list. Logically, the two that finish first are the winners. But, to spice things up, we will make it a little harder. One of you will be inside the cart and will have to provide the directions because the other one will be blind-folded. Try not to get kicked out in the process, alright? Rules: To be considered the winner, you have to be standing in line to pay. Helping another group is allowed. Exchanging your task during the game is completely forbidden. Now, pick a pair.
Everyone was at the starting line, which would be the section in which were the carts. Tillie was with Josie, Moody with Ruby, Jerry with Cole, Gilbert with Charlie, and Anne with Diana.
-Ready... Set... Ho ho ho bitches!
Everything erupted in wild screams. All the players stood confusedly, overwhelmed by the number of directions they were receiving. The ones in the cart laughed at the blindfolded ones as they watched them bumping into everything, but they just let out a small shriek each time.
No group had yet helped each other. Gilbert had offered Diana and Anne to form an alliance with Charlie and him, but the red-head declined the offer since they were her competition at the moment.
Moody and Ruby
-STOP!- she shouted when she spotted one of the things that were on the list- No, move.
-Okay...-he said walking forward cautiously.
-STOP.
-What? Do I move forward or do I stay put?
-You have to move, but not THAT way!
-This way?
-No! Stop right there!
-I don't understand! I'm blindfolded, I don't know where you want me to go!- he laughed nervously, panicking a little bit.
Tillie and Josie
-Maybe we can get this! Look!- Tillie squealed.
-I'm blind-folded, Tillie!... But tell me what it is.
-It's a watch, very shiny...golden...
-Oh, we are totally getting that! Put it in the cart asap!- she squealed.
The brunette was sitting in a flood of products. She brushed her fingers against each one of them, wondering if maybe they should start looking for the things that were in the actual list.
Jerry and Cole
-Walk to the right.
-I'm not falling for this again, baguette boy, I know there has to be something to my right, we are in an aisle!- the blonde boy scoffed.
-Aw, we are walking down the aisle together... sweetie.
