The leaves started falling and a glistening white cover landed softly on the town. That's how it stayed until the holidays started getting closer.
When December arrived, the white Avonlea was filled with color and joy.
The smell of gingerbread cookies and hot chocolate invaded every inch of the town, and the coziness of the fires hugged warmly every person that entered a house. The families had gathered around their Christmas trees, filling them with life and memories that each ornament contained. Jingle bells could be heard everywhere as people decorated their homes and placed wreaths on their doors.

Christmas was palpable.

However, the Christmas spirit wasn't present in everyone's heart...

-Minnie May, leave my room!- Diana shouted, quickly ripping her kiss with Jerry apart.

-Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer had a very shiny nose...!- she pranced around the room, skipping slightly.

-Out!- she gestured to the door.

-And if you ever saw it, you would even say it glows.

-I'm calling mom...

-Fine, then I'll tell her that you two were together... alone... with your door closed.

-Just when you think they're innocent little kids...- Jerry chuckled with raised eyebrows, letting his back fall onto the soft mattress.

-What do you want, Minnie May?

-I want you to build a snowman with me.

-We are kind of busy, so I th...

-We'll go- Jerry interrupted.

-What?!

-See you in five minutes- she lifted her chin sassily and then turned on her heels and left.

-Babe! Why would you say that?!

-If your mother found out that we were making out with your door closed, she'll never let me set a foot in this house again. You know she isn't fond of me and she wouldn't forgive me if we broke the rules.

-It's not that she doesn't like you... it's just that...

-Di.

-Who am I kidding? She doesn't like you- she said, almost feeling guilty of something that wasn't even her fault.

-And I'm alright with that as long as you like me- he smiled, placing a soft peck on her lips.

It was, indeed, true. Mrs. Barry thought that her daughter was worthy of "someone better", and her prejudice hadn't let her see the amazing young man that Jerry was. Diana has tried to make her understand the reasons why she loved him, but her words wouldn't change her mind.

-I'm waiting!!- the little girl shouted from downstairs.

-We're coming!- he answered with a grin, which Diana noticed.

-I'll never understand why you have such a soft spot for her- she smiled, intertwining her fingers with his' before leaving the room.

Moody was nervous. He was going ice skating with Ruby and he was panicking. They were just hanging out, but was scared to mess it up. What he didn't know was that she would like him even if he forgot to take the picnic basket to a picnic.

He was sitting on his bed, surrounded by Charlie, Cole and Gilbert, who were trying to calm him down. The blonde boy stood in front of the wardrobe, taking out millions of shirts and changing his expression each time.
