I woke up and stretched my arms a little before walking into the bathroom and brushing my teeth. I set a timer for 2 minutes and scrolled through the news in the meanwhile. When I came out of the shower, I noticed my secretary waiting for me.

'What do I have today?' I asked, looking through my clothes for something pretty.

'You have to meet Mr. Caldwell at 11:00. It takes a little under 30 minutes to reach there so we should leave by 10:30. You have a call with the Chief Editor at 8:00- which is in an hour. The rest of the day includes reservations for cake tasting, wine tasting and wedding dress shopping.' He offered me the tablet with my schedule on it and I took a mental note of the important things I had to check off.

I picked an off shoulder sea blue dress with buttons going down and a bow at the waist with some cream coloured heels and a matching purse.

I matched it with some simple earrings and headed off to the dining room. I was just about to take a sip from my glass of fruit juice when I got a call. It was my mom.

I picked up the phone and immediately winced on hearing a loud voice rant about what I was wearing, how I behaved, my mannerless actions and so on. I put her on speaker and set the phone aside to continue drinking my juice. Once she calmed down a little and took a breath, I apologised and told her that I was meeting Caldwell today.

She must have been rather happy to hear it because all her anger seemed to have disappeared. I sent her a few pictures of myself and she couldn't stop cooing about how wonderful I looked. I said a quick goodbye and ended the call to read the weekly reports sent by the department heads.

Merlin, my secretary, entered the dining room with a phone in his hand. He reminded of the call that was going to take place in another 20 minutes or so, then left to check on my reservations for the day.

The Chief Editor was quick and brief. After we were done discussing, I quickly put the phone, my chapstick and gloss, my bike keys (just in case) and my wallet into the small purse and fixed my hair. I was just about to walk out when Merlin came in.
