Lauren hated the cold or the wet.She was a fan of warmth and sunshine, of colours and brightness. She loved the way sun rays creeped into her room and brightened it. She loved the way colourful flowers bloomed in her garden. She loved the melody of birds chirping on her window sill. She loved the way the nature sprang into life.
She just loved the positivity of it all.
Unfortunately, it had been raining that day. Quite heavily.
The sky was grey and cloudy, with sudden lightning flashes now and then. The weather was cold and chilly, the kind that sends shivers running down your spine. The flowers didn't look colourful. In fact, nothing did. Everything looked like a whitewashed photograph. Everything looked...grey and dull.
It was just the opposite of what Lauren loved. So she hated it.
And the fact that she was stuck outside a closed coffee shop without an umbrella or raincoat made her hate it even more.
But hey, thanks to the large overhead sign, she wasn't getting wet any more. Keyword : more.
Her hair was dripping wet, and it stuck to her face, much to her annoyance. God forbid, she never wearing her hair down again.
The booming sound of thunder and lightning almost numbed her eardrums. And she could write an essay on how much the noise of raindrops lashing against the window pane of the old coffee shop irritated her.
Her phone was dead and there was no one around.
She was absolutely stuck.
