Lauren saw the black car approaching again.

She instantly drew back her feet and stood up.

There was no music blasting through the windows, just the sound of tires against the road and the engine of the car.

Surprisingly, the car stopped in front of her.

The door flew open and out came a boy her age.

He had chestnut brown hair and electric blue eyes. He wasn't much taller than Lauren, and he wore large glasses which were wet due to the rain. He took off his glasses and hurried to stand under the sign, next to Lauren.

Lauren was confused.

"Hey, do you need help?" Ethan politely asked her.

"First you splash my feet and then ask if I want help? If that's your way of repaying, then let me tell you. I am not one to hold grudges. You are already forgiven."

"Did I splash you? I am sorry I didn't know and I swear it was by accident-"

"Did you stop here just to help me?"

"Do you see anyone else around?"

"Why would you do that? You wet yourself in the process. Your dry hair is now wet will most probably lead to a runny nose."

"I am sorry, I don't know the answer to your question. However, I have a solution to your problem."

"I won't be getting inside a strangers car."

"No? Well then...wait."

Ethan opened door of the car and brought out a black umbrella.

Extending it to Lauren, he said, "Here. This will do."
