You felt the steel floor under your hands before you could see it.
You knew at some point during the night your, drinks from the cantina would hit you hard, but you didn't think they'd hit you this hard.
Your knees crashed to the floor as you let out a small whimper. Somehow, walking in a straight line, you'd tripped. On thin air. Right behind Kylo Ren.
Great.
The floor was so, so cold.
If you were sober, the fall would have hurt.
But instead, it only made you giggle a bit, silently whispering to yourself a light-hearted "I just tripped on thin fucking air."
The other knights had slowly gone back to their new quarters one after the other. Igo was first, his alcohol tolerance lower than his brothers.
Lesco and Khuno followed soon after. Then Akira, who patted the top of your head before leaving you alone with Shiloh, Kylo, and Saho.
That's one hell of a tongue twister.
Second to last was Saho, who didn't even seem fazed by the numerous bottles of alcohol he had just downed. He walked out of the bar just like when he walked in; sober.
Last was Shiloh, who offered to walk you back to your quarters, but you refused.
You'd been planning on getting some alone time with Kylo this whole night, but you hadn't expected it to be like this.
You slowly lifted your head from the floor, seeing his soft cape slowly flow side to side as he continued down the corridor.
"Ren" you softly whimpered out, praying he'd hear you and turn around.
It was embarrassing, but you knew you couldn't make it up all by yourself.
Through the pounding in your head, you could hear the loud pounding of his footsteps halt in place. You watched him as he slowly turned around, eyeing your small figure on the floor. A light, menacing chuckle reverberated through his mask as he slowly walked over to you.
He was so, so tall. Just to meet his eyes from the floor, you'd have to position your neck at a perfect 90 degree angle.
And wow- this angle was something else.
His words quickly ripped you out of you admiring state. "What did you trip on?"
You let out a soft giggle, looking down at your hands and knees still on the floor.
"I think- I think I tripped on air" you said, looking back up to him with a shy smile, your head still spinning in small circles.
Another short, menacing laugh through his mask.
A large hand coated in leather shot out in front of you. You knew what he was doing, but it took you a moment to focus on his grip. Like him, his hands were big. Strong. The type of grasp that could dislocate your hand from your wrist if it wanted to.
But he wouldn't do that, not to you.
You slowly put your dainty hand in his, grabbing on tight as he lifted you from the ground.
His pull was quick, spending no time to linger above you- but fast reactions were not in your skillset right now.
As he hoisted you up, your feet stumbled under you and your knees slowly began to buckle. You had no other choice than to tightly grip onto the sides of his belt, hand caressing the cold lightsaber just an inch away from your warm fingers.
