TW; violence, death

Deep breath in, deep breath out.

Besides every time Akira had hit you, or Kylo had threatened you, you've lived a life of peace.

Though you were aware of the sinful things the Knights would do behind closed doors, you paid no attention to it- they were your family, whether they were good people or not.

They made you feel safe. Like someone out there actually cared for you.

There was always a balance between you and the Knights- they were bad, but you kept them good.

And when you were bad, they kept you good.

But tonight, in the cantina Kylo had brought you to, there was a sudden imbalance between both the Knights and Kylo himself.

You knew about Kylo's connection to the light side- how he grew up in the Resistance under a completely different name, only to become Kylo Ren in his later years.

You'd always been able to see the remaining light in Kylo though. Not physically, but there was always a feeling.

Though it would only ever come out when around you, the Knights also knew it existed. His pull to the light. His connection to his family.

But standing behind Kylo in the cantina, watching him speak to the alien life forms that were surrounding him, made everything you'd ever known about his pull to the light vanish

His aura alone was enough to tell you there was no light in him at this moment- not even when you'd grabbed onto the back of his belt and pulled him closer to you.

Though you knew there were many people watching as Kylo and the muscular aliens bickered back and forth loudly in the cantina, you couldn't stop yourself from latching onto Kylo for dear life.

You didn't scare easily- nor did a lousy group of bulky men ever intimidate you, but there was something different about tonight.

One thing being you had been drinking, so your mind was already quite fuzzy.

And just days before, you'd had a similar run in with a group of Zabraki's- who would have won if Kylo and his Knights hadn't stepped in at the right moment.

But the Knights were nowhere to be seen. It was just you and Kylo against the world- if the world were a big group of drunk Kriffars and Skrillings.

But no matter if the men were drunk or not, you knew they were dangerous.

There was nothing good about being bombarded by an unwelcome alien species in a loud, open bar like the cantina.

Kylo seemed confident enough to take them down while he spoke to their leader, a man who seemed to be a Skrilling but was a strange, muted grey color.

The man behind you had looked the same, only he was a pale shade of green. The sight of him reminded you of what the Zabraki men back at the hotel had dragged out of Kylo's fridge.

Shivers ran down your spine as you thought about what could have possibly rotted in his icebox overnight.
