TW; violence
Kylo could feel the disturbance in the Force from all the way across the base.
A familiar surge of bright white light flooded his veins- ceasing all movement and rendering him completely motionless as he stood still in Hangar 4 . The only part of his body buzzing with life being his brain, which was currently swarming in an abundance of anger.
You found the braid. Kylo could sense it.
Every general, officer, and trooper surrounding Kylo at the time knew they were in danger the moment Kylo's back tensed, his knuckles audibly growing taut around his leathered gloves. The bright blue data-pad he had been idly holding in his hands now smashed against the floor in a fit of rage.
You disobeyed his direct orders.
Storming off, Kylo took no time at all to ignite the lightsaber stationed against his hip and swing it overhead, the bright red bolt slicing through an innocent officers neck in the process. Watching them drop dead against the cold metal floor, Kylo felt another surge of light course through him.
Only this time it was stronger.
He had been working tirelessly in Hangar 4 all morning, screaming at his subordinates and mentally picturing force-choking Hux the moment he stepped into work. Leaving you alone this morning had been one of the hardest things he'd ever had to do, but he knew he had too.
Even if it was obvious you were going to disobey him.
Though Kylo had purposefully taunted you about his sacred room, he had not expected you to ever explore the inside of it- let alone find and touch the one thing he had been hiding from you for your entire life.
Your padawan braid.
The one he had ripped from your scalp the moment he saw you, his dark-clouded mind reeling with disgust at the thought of accepting a Resistance rebel as one of his own. Though the abundance of power Kylo could feel coursing through your veins had intrigued him, he knew you could never be a real Ren.
A padawan could never become a Knight.
He'd hidden that braid from you the moment it was removed- stuffing it deep into his charcoal colored pockets for no one else to see. Not even his Knights knew where to find it- the moment Kylo ripped it away, it was gone from their sights.
Until today.
Today, Kylo found himself running at full speed down the familiar hallways of his base, red lightning bolt strewn loosely at his side as he plowed through any oncoming officer that may have gotten in his way. Not even a raging TIE fighter could stop his feet from pounding against the metal floor, boots making more noise than he ever thought possible.
Nothing could stand in his way. Not when you needed him.
Stalking through the dark grey corridors, Kylo turned his head at the sound of familiar chunky boots banging against the ground below him. A few hallways down, Kylo could see Shiloh, also running at full speed- feet leading him in the exact direction Kylo was going.
His Knights had felt the disturbance too.
Quickening his pace, Kylo bolted past a sharp corner and maneuvered his way through a well-known short cut, his lightsaber catching against the edge of a wall in the process and searing the metal straight in half.
