Ophelia had been stretching on her bedroom floor, determined to regain the flexibility she had lost while she was sick, when Diana threw her door open so quickly she was afraid it may have dented the wall. Diana's smile was so wide that Ophelia figured she could count all her teeth if she wanted.

Her cousin practically danced around Ophelia, spinning and laughing as she giddily explained that Anne had invited both of them to tea. The usually proper girl flopped on her back, laying on top of her cousin's bed.

Ophelia smiled as she leaned forward, but it quickly turned to a grimace. Her leg was hurting more than she remembered from the stretch. As she sat back up, she turned to see Diana staring up at the ceiling, no doubt fantasizing about how her first adult tea would go.

Ophelia could picture it too, Anne daintily pouring tea for them as they discussed the most mundane of topics. How the weather was, what they read about in the newspaper that day, their favorite bible quote. Unfortunately, Ophelia wasn't a fan of tea; however it would be rude not to attend and she really did want to become better friends with Anne.

"What are you going to wear?" Ophelia hadn't meant for the question to rile up or cause her cousin anxiety, but Diana sat straight up, whatever daydream she had been stuck in was long gone.

"What am I going to wear?" Diana repeated, more to herself than Ophelia, at least she had assumed. However, Diana grabbed her hands and pulled her to her feet, all but dragging her down the hall to their room. They ran into Diana's room, pulling Ophelia along with her straight to her wardrobe.

The two girls began to pull dresses out, seeing which ones would be the best fit for their first adult tea. Diana claimed she wanted a dress that made her look grown, and it was only when Ophelia joked that she should steal her mothers corset that the girls broke down into fits of laughter.

By the time Diana had chosen a nice dress to wear it was already time to leave if they wanted to be punctual. The girls were even more excited because their parents were allowing them to walk alone since there were two of them.

In all honesty, Aunt Jo wouldn't have cared if Ophelia had walked all alone. The issue was that Ophelia didn't know where Anne lived. Otherwise, she would have walked ahead of Diana because she was ready nearly half an hour ago.

As they walked through the woods and snow, Ophelia pulled her jacket tighter around herself.  She was used to all the city buildings sheltering her from most of the wind. She missed being able to walk from her house through the city, to the shops in the downtown, or the art museum that was near the college.

If she was being honest, she hadn't realized Diana had begun to talk, let alone ask her a question. She only noticed when she saw Diana looking at her expectantly out of the corner of her eye. "Oh um... most definitely."
