Amy and Laurie

chapter 3 the wedding

Amy and Laurie were now engaged and very happy with one another.

Amy was wearing a beautiful white dress and holding gorgeous flowers. Meg was there with her and helping her with the finishing touches. Amy was extremely nervous but excited. She was marrying the boy she has always loved for her whole life and that just seemed unreal to her.

Laurie on the other hand was very calm and collected. He had fallen in love with Amy in Paris.

Amy was about to walk down the aisle since her father was on the other side of the world he couldn't walk her down the aisle so she asked Meg's husband to do it and he gladly accepted.

Amy nervously and happily walked down the aisle she looked at the boy who was going to be her husband the boy she had loved her entire life. He had happy tears in his eyes as he saw her walk down, when she finally reached him she gently took his hand and flashed a smile at him.

The priest said "Today these two will be joined in marriage now I assume that you both have written vows".

Amy and Laurie nod and the priest says "Laurie you will go first".

Laurie smiled at Amy and looked at her his eyes filled with love "Amy, I love you and I watched you in Paris and I saw how dedicated and smart you were and kind and Amy that's why I love you. I hope I make you happy every day of our lives together I love you so much and I can't wait to marry you".

Amy smiles at him and then the priest said "Those were beautiful and now Amy it's your turn".

Amy says "Laurie as you know I've always loved you since the day I met you actually, you're funny and kind and I hope I can be the best wife for you and I promise to spend every day of our lives making you happy and making sure that we always tell each other everything. I love you Laurie and I can't wait to spend the rest of our lives together".

Laurie smiles at her and whispers "I can't believe I'm marrying you".

Amy said "I can't believe it either".

The priest said "Now please bring forth the rings".

Meg brought the rings and handed them to Amy and Laurie.

Laurie slipped the ring on Amy's finger and says "With this ring I promise to love and cherish you everyday of our lives".

Amy slips the other ring onto Laurie's finger and says "With this ring I promise to love and cherish you everyday of our lives".

The priest says "Now Laurie do you take Amy March to be your lawfully wedded wife to love, and to hold, to cherish in sickness and in health till death do you part?".

Laurie says "I do".

The priest says "And do you Amy take Laurie Laurence to be your lawfully wedded husband to love, and to hold, to cherish in sickness and in health till death do you part?".

Amy says "I do".

The priest says "Then I now pronounce you husband and wife you may kiss the bride".

Laurie cups Amy's face and kisses her gently and everyone in the room cheers.

The priest says "And now for the very first time I present Mr and Mrs. Laurence".

Everyone cheers as the happy couple holds hands and walks down the aisle together very much in love.
