Key's phone vibrated as he took his eyes off his document and looked at the caller ID.
'Sungyeol' Nicole's manager.
"Yeoboseyo?" He answered.
(Key-ssi! Nicole is in trouble.)
"What happened?" Key asked after Sungyeol opened the door of Nicole's condominium.
"She locked herself in the bathroom and cried all day." They both ran to the bathroom.
"Nicole! Open the door!" Key said as he knocked on the door. "It's oppa."
"Leave! I don't want to see you!" She yelled between her sob.
"Do you have a spare key?" He asked Sungyeol.
"Lemme find it." He walked off, leaving Key who kept asking Nicole to open the door alone.
Inside the bathroom, Nicole was sitting under the shower with a smirk while holding a sharp knife in her hand.
"It's for when you asked me for giving you a year." She whispered as she slit the knife on her wrist.
"It's for ignoring me." Another slit.
"This one for choosing that bitch over me." She started to slit it again and blood started to flowed out like a river.
"Nicole!" Key continuously knocked on the door. He even tried to kick it down, but failed.
"Here's the key!" Sungyeol handed the key to him. He opened the door and rushed toward Nicole who was crying under the shower.
"Leave! I don't want to see you! Go to your wife!" She cried out as she slapped his chest.
"Nicole! Come back to your sense! What are you doing?" He yelled and shook her.
"Leave and go to Eunji!" Her voice became fainted before she passed out in Key's arms.
(I'm sorry! Something came up so sudden.) Key apologized to Eunji through the line. They promised to have lunch together.
"It's okay!" She replied.
(I'm really sorry.)
"It's okay."
(Don't skip your meal. I'll ask Naeun to check on you.)
"I'm not a kid! I'm hanging up."
(Geurae! Love you!) He hung up, but his last two words shocked Eunji. It's her first time hearing these two words from him.
"Pabo!" She mumbled, but her lips curved into a big smile.
Key was sitting on the chair while staring at Nicole who was lying lifelessly on the bed and a bandage around her wrist.
*Sorry, Cole!* He thought. *Sorry for not keeping my love for you like before. I'm sorry!* He grabbed her hand and planted a kiss on her palm.
Meanwhile, Sungyeol stood outside with a hurt expression in his eyes. He has become her manager for almost 5 years. He has developed his feeling for her throughout the year. To him, she's a very important person. Watching her being closed with Key pissed him off, but he never show it. He was very happy when he heard about Key's marriage, but he never expect Nicole still love him.
