New Years

It's about to be month four without Joseph. Tracy keeps speaking about this new guy she wants me to meet, but I still don't believe I'm ready.

New Year's Eve.
Joseph and I are still talking, he tells me his spending the evening with basically a youth group. They're going to spend the evening praying for the New Year and listening to speeches from pastors.

My sister invited me to a party at her house. The guy she wants me to meet is there and several other friend's too. Quite frankly, I'd much rather prefer spending the new year with Joseph, or at a new years concert. Instead, I'm laying in bed, with a bag of chips and a 2 litre cold drink bottle, watching some general dish t.v.

My parents dropped some groceries off at Tracy's place and returned home.

"Mia, Peter sent chocolates for you. You sure you don't want to go to the party? There's decent people there."
My mom comes into my room, dropping a box of chocolates on my bed.

Oh but you know those really crunchy ones, covered in like broken biscuit pieces. YUM!

"Thanks ma, but I'll pass. I'm watching a marathon of MTv's, Are You The One?" I reply.

"Peter seems like such a nice young man. His much cuter than Joseph. I told him you not feeling well and he says he hopes you get well soon." she says, leaving my room.

My conscience bugs me for the rest of the night.

Mia the guy bought you the expensive chocolates the least you could do is go to that party.

He bought the cheapest variety of those chocolates though. I mean it only has three round balls, he could've at least bought the 7 box. Joseph bought me the complete range of the gourmet chocolates.

I seriously need to stop thinking about him. After going back and forth in an argument with myself I build up the courage and ask my dad to take me to the party.

"Mia. It's half past eleven. I'm already in my pajamas. I'll take you to Tracy's tomorrow" my dad responds in a grumpy tone.

New Year's
I don't even bother with resolutions anymore, but this morning we visit my sister and I decide this year I'll officially stop being a pain in the ass towards Tracy.

Utterly shocked I arrive to everybody from the night before. Peter and I meet awkwardly, but I'm not to worried his not my type anyway.

His definitely not my type. His so not a jock. Peter's like what, your typical high school nerd, but whatever maybe going out with him is better than being a pain at home. Joseph isn't coming back, so I'll listen to everybody and see what this guy has to offer.

Peter Hendricks;
His about 5'5 tall. Brown eyes. Caramel skin, with curly black hair. personality handpicked from a 90's chick

My encounters with Peter were weird, until we awkwardly exchanged numbers while at Tracy's, the night before my birthday, which is 7 days after new years.

He wrote me the sweetest most amazing birthday message for someone who didn't even know me, I received the message just past midnight.

Several seconds after my phone rings, private number. I always answer with the familiar "Ms Parker speaking, hello".

My heart stops, dead still for a split second...

I do apologize that it's broken up into pieces. I couldn't keep the Chapter whole as the story behind it is really long, hence it's broken up into Chapter 4a, b, c, d, e.

I try to keep each part as short as possible, but with as much detail as possible.
