I hadn't spoken to him since New Year's Eve. I'm shocked he even remembered.
"Good morning birthday girl. I hope you have a wonderful day, almost as wonderful as you are. I thought about sending you a message, but I felt calling you would be a bit more romantic. I hope you have an amazing day my wonderfully, beautifully, gorgeous amazing princess"
"Thank you Joseph" I respond.
What the hell! I thought it'd be Peter.
See Mia, I told you Joseph still cared. You should still be with him.
Be wary of this guy. Why's he acting sweet all of a sudden? Why's he calling you his princess? Address that ish before you start falling for him again.
Just leave it be Mia. See where this call leads to.
"What's your plans for the day?" He asks, politely.
"I'm going out with Arie, we going to Coral Reef Theme Park. I get free entrance because it's my birthday" I say.
"Oh nice. Well if you free next weekend, I'd love to take you out, to make up for not being with you today." He says.
Is it just me or is it ticking a nerve of his, that I'm going to be out with the same guy I was out with the night he and I hooked up?
He was the one that moved on first! Ugggg!!! I'm getting so annoyed, but I'm not going to allow him to hear it in my voice.
"Actually Joseph I'm flying to the beach house next week Wednesday. I decided to spoil myself before work begins" I respond.
Firstly I haven't got a job, but I don't think his aware of that. Secondly, we don't own a beach house, what the hell am I saying?
"Oh nice. Who you going with?" He asks.
Don't respond you dummy! Just cut the call! Just cut the frikken call.
"Oh no. My parents gave me permission to go alone. My aunt's giving me the keys to her estate." I reply, almost immediately, without even bothering to listen to the voices in my head.
"Oh, but you shouldn't travel alone." He says.
DON'T YOU DARE MIA! Don't you even think about it.
I laugh at his ridiculous comment and smartly reply, "I think that I'm more than capable of looking after myself..."
Mia. Just stop your statement right there! Don't you say another word.
"Well, unless you're willing to join me." I state.
Great, you dumbass. You just dug a huge ass grave for yourself. Your parents will never let you fly across the country yourself and you don't even know anybody besides that one friend of yours that owns a beach house. There's no way you can get out of this predicament now.
"I'll have to let you know. If you asked me for next month I'd say yes in a heartbeat, but I need to let my boss know a while before hand to fill someone in for my shifts." He says.
Hallelujah woman. This man just saved you from the own grave you've dug.
"Well if you like me to postpone it for next month, I don't mind." I state blankly.
Woman what are you saying! Just stop! Shut your mouth! Like why in the heavenly milkshake would you say such?
"No, it's fine. You go enjoy yourself. If you do end up going let me know. I'll speak to my boss and try to join you." He says.
