Jay's p.o.v:"The sprain is not that serious, I can play", I tried to convince my coach.
"Look kid, these sprains need to be taken care, otherwise they get serious. So stop arguing and go enjoy your weekend."
I sighed in defeat. No one can argue with him, he always takes care of us so much.
Finally, I am having a break after a long time. So I decided to hangout with Dev and Karan as we haven’t been spending quality time lately.
"Hey guys, I'm having a break from the game for weekend. Let's spend some time together".
"Sorry man, I have some work to do. Some other time", Dev said. He was being suspiciously busy these days.
"Yeah. I too have to work on my project." , Karan said with an apologetic look.
"Fine. We’ll catch up some other time. Enjoy your weekend".

I was sitting on the couch watching some show in the living room. I saw Anu going out but didn't pay much attention to her. Swetha was in her room, probably painting. I like her passion for it.
After a while it started raining. I was standing on the porch and watching. That is when the thunder and lightening started. I heard Swetha scream from her room. I got really worried and started running to her room. On the way, I tripped and my leg sprain got worse but still I couldn't stop myself from running to her room.
I rushed into her room and looked around for her. There she was, hiding in a corner and crying. I went to her and hugged her trying to console her. ‘Damn! She looked so fragile in that moment'. I held her close to my heart till she stopped crying. After a while she stopped crying.
"I have lightening paranoia", she finally managed to say in between her breaths. I nodded and lifted her to take her downstairs to the living room. My leg hurt like hell but in that moment something took over me. 'Why am I feeling like she was my responsibility? Why am I getting connected to her? This will be the only time, I won't let myself get attached to anyone again.' I said to myself and decided to take care of her till the storm passes.
I placed her on the couch and when I sat on the couch, she cuddled into me and held me like her life depended on it. She looks so adorable. I placed my hand around her and held her close to me.
*10 years back*
I was so excited. Why wouldn't I? I was going to see my little sister for the first time. I spent sometime with Trisha in the childhood. I couldn't meet Anu as they rarely visited due to my mom. ‘She hates girls.’ But today my aunt was coming along with Swetha for some business meeting.
Swetha was 2 years old. She looked so cute holding her mom's hand and refusing everyone who was trying to take her close. She looked at me and I gave a her a small smile.
I know I should take care of her for sometime and I really wanted to be with her. She looked so adorable and fragile. I went near her and held her hand.
"Will you play with me?"
She looked at her mom and when aunt said to go, she again looked at me. “Ok. But you should be nice to me.”
"Sure little girl".
She held my hand and I took her towards the back lawn.
"It was the first time she went to someone that fast", my aunt stated, her eyes still on Swetha.
"Well, get used to it madam, she will love playing with her brother from now", our cook said with a smile.
We played for a while running around. I had the best time of my life. She was so cute and at the same time loving.
"Come on Swetha, it's time to leave", aunt called out from our living room.
Before leaving, Swetha gave me a hug and left with her mom. I always wanted to meet her again but my mom never let me visit them. But now when she was beside me, i could not let her near to my heart. I cannot love any of my little sisters now. ‘Not after everything I have gone through. Not after my heart had been shredded into pieces.’
*Present*
When it stopped raining, I looked at her and she was sleeping peacefully. I thought of taking her back to her room but when i stood up i felt the pain in my leg. The pain is so unbearable, I couldn't even stand properly. I needed help and I dialled to Karan.
"Hey Karan, could you come to my home, like right now?"
"Will be there in 10".
I soon cut the phone and sat there waiting for him.
Karan's p.o.v:
The very moment Jay's id flashed on my phone I understood it was important. So when he told to come to his home, I hurried to my bike and drove as fast as I could.
I rushed through the door of his house. He was sitting on the couch with Swetha holding him and sleeping. I never thought I would see something like this.
Like he could read my mind, he gave a look and said, "She has lightening paranoia and I couldn't let her keep crying".
I nodded and he told me everything. I looked at his leg, it was not looking good.
"Where exactly was Anu? Why couldn’t she come to Swetha knowing she has lightening paranoia?" , I asked him a little frustrated as she was not with her sister.
"Do you think I care?", his voice was filled with mixture of frown and disgust.
"Fine. Let me take Swetha to her room, then I will help you to yours."
“Second one to the left of my room is Swetha’s.”
I nodded and took her to her room. I tugged her into her bed and stood there looking at her. 'She would definitely bring the fun side of Jay back. I'm dying to see him happy again.'
