Billie was looking straight ahead, face to face at Ms.Debois, the school's guidance counselor. This wasn't her first time visiting the counselor since the principal basically required her to make an appointment with her at least once a week.

Billie was one of the few students forced to attend a meeting with Ms.Debois. You could consider her one of the "troublesome kids", aka the ones with real problems.

Ms.Debois was a nice person to talk to and always had an open mind while talking to Billie. At first, Billie resisted opening up to her but soon felt obligated to do so. That obligation turned to trust, as she continued to be forced to make appointments.

Usually, Billie would speak to the guidance counselor briefly about how she's feeling but this time was different because she was making a report. Her whole body was tense and she nervously shifted and chewed down on her lip as she was interrogated. She knew that Brandon and Josh were just in the other room after the fight that she had to break up and she was already stressed enough.

"Billie, I need you to focus." Ms.Debois said in attempt to bring Billie back to attention. "Who started the fight?"

She wasn't entirely sure on how to answer that question. Technically, Que did start the fight, but for valid reasons. She stayed silent and shrugged in response.

"Billie," Ms.Debois sighed "take this seriously. Who started the fight?"

"B-brandon." she said quietly.

"Okay," she said taking notes, "now, why were you there to witness it?"

"I was um...sorta kinda talking to Josh." she explained.

"And Brandon saw so he attacked Josh?"

"Well, kinda but not really."

"Billie, I just need you to tell me what happen. Why did Brandon Adams start a fight with Joshua Smalls?" (idk if i gave him a last name but that's his name now.)

Billie deeply sighed into her hands and hid her face. She couldn't understand what gotten into her friend, Josh and hated the fact that Brandon had to whoop his ass for it. Well, maybe she didn't hate cause it was kinda sexy- nevermind that's besides the point.

After taking a few seconds, Billie finally answered. "Well, Josh and I were talking but he got wayyy too close."

"Please tell me everything that happened."
Ms. Debois said unpatiently.

"Okay...Joshua ran up on me and asked me to meet him in a storage closet. He was being super weird...like, he pinned me to the wall kind of. No one did anything though." the counselor looked down from Billie to continue her notes. "I guess Brandon saw him touching me and got angry."

"So, when he was touching you, did you tell him to stop?"

"Um, well yes. I told him that I didn't like it and he just told me to shut up."

The counselor's eyes widened as she collected the information.

"Has anything happened like this before with him?" she asked.

"Yeah, sorta."

"Okay, is this the same boy you had the altercation with?"

"Yes, I stopped talking to him but he insisted that we became friends again. Well, he was actually expressing his...admiration for me but I told him I was seeing someone. But, I forgave him."

"Do you feel threatened by Joshua in any way?"

"Duh." she said with involuntary attitude.

"Now, is Brandon controlling or does he do anything to you?"

"No." Billie said shortly.

"Are you sure?"

"Brandon is great. He never did anything to hurt me."

"Okay, I'm glad to hear that."

"Ms.Debois, is Brandon gonna get in trouble?"

"I have no say in that. I just report all of what you tell me to the principal."

Billie sighed while trying to remember everything she had said.

"Hey, Brandon didn't do anything wrong. He was just helping me." Billie said frantically.

"I know, sweetie. School is almost over, how about I call your mom to come pick you up?"

"Okay." Billie sighed.

...

Billie shuddered in the cool air on her porch. As she exhaled and blew the smoke out of her mouth she instantly felt relief. Despite being disappointed in herself for getting high once again, this is really all she wanted.

After awhile she felt the sativa kick in and laughed out loud as some random old lady tripped over a curb.

She hadn't seen or heard of Brandon since the incident. She was worried for some unknown reason but she kept calm.

Just as the thought of Que passed by, she got an incoming call from Brandon himself.

"Hehe hello?" she giggled through the phone.

"Uh, hey. What's funny?"

"This squirrel is trying to eat that acorn." she said through a laugh.

"You high?" he asked.

"Mhmm. So, you got in trouble?"

"Yeah, I got suspended for a week for initiating  a fight." he said. Suddenly, Billie grew angry.

"What the fuck you mean initiating a fight. You stopped him from doing whatever the fuck he was tryna do." she raised her voice.

"Yeah, I don't know what's wrong with this school. But, how are you though? Has he done that before?"

As he said that, Billie remembered what happened in that cafeteria the other day.

"No...I'm fine though. I'm used to it I guess." she lied. She was used to unwanted sexual attention, but she was never okay with it.

"Tell me if something like that happens again. I got you, baby."

She smiled at his ugly ass, cheesy ass, simpy ass comment.

"So is he in trouble?" she asked.

"I don't know. They didn't tell me anything but if you see him at school, don't go anywhere near him."

"If he approaches me I'll just stab him, don't worry about it." she grinned.

She began laughing until she saw an unfamiliar car pull up.

"I'll call you back, baby. I love you."

"Okay, love you too." he said before she hung up.

She watched the car park in the driveway as she put the blunt in her mouth.

Slowly, a tall, masculine man walked out of the drivers side.

She watched them curiously with the smoke in her cheeks. She inhaled and blew the smoke out as the man approached her.

She tapped the ash off the blunt and dropped it on the concrete. Just as the blunt hit the floor, the man stood over her as she stayed sitting. She looked up at him with a resting bitch face as he looked down at her with serious face. As she waited for him to speak in silence, she put her hand in her hoodie pocket to grip her pocket knife which doesn't leave her side.

"Good evening." he said in an extremely low in deep voice. "My name's Ron Michaels. I'm looking for a girl named Billie."

Billie immediately tensed up at the mention of her name. She had no idea who this man was and no idea how he knew her name.

"Dude, you're blowing my high, Billie isn't home." she lied.

"Here's my number." he said as he handed Billie a card. "Please, call me when she gets here or tell her that her father came to see her."
