1st November 2013
New month, same old Mia. It's been exactly six days since we seperated ways. Sadly, we've not been in contact, well aside from Jude. He called, texted but that's it. No visit, no nothing. Though, my love for him is still as strong as ever, and got over the complications with ease. Hearing his voice's enough, for now. Sighing, I grabbed my phone from my side desk, checking if there's any text or calls. None.
The girls had been MIA (the acronym; missing in action, not my name) since the trip. It was disappointing, of course. But maybe they're busy with their own lives and who am I to stop them right? Dialling Jude's number, I placed it against my phone. A pout took over my lips when I was being directed to the voicemail. How dare he! Throwing my phone, I flinched when it made a loud sound coming in contact with the floor and instantly, I regretted my actions. Scruying to pick it up, I glowered when I saw a huge crack on the screen. Just great. Plopping down the couch, I sat there in silence, getting lost in my trail of thoughts.
Jazzy had to return to her homeland for a few week due to the death of her aunt. I wish I followed her but thinking Jude or the girls would visit me every now and then, I rejected her offer. Boy was I wrong. My gaze fell onto the clock hanging by the wall. 9 am. Averting my gaze to the window, my lips curled in a small grin at the sight of the beautiful weather. It looked sunny outside, but it was freezing. You know what they say, looks can be deceiving. Anyway, the weather was still perfect nonetheless.
Perfect for a coffee.
Getting up, I changed my sweat pants into a pair of black Jeggings and threw on a Grey coat over my black and white stripey crop top. Grabbing my shades, I put it on, hopeing it would hide my bare-face. Yes, I go out barefaced when I got super lazy. Applying my all time favourite vanilla chapstick, I grabbed my car keys and finally head out.
Squinting my eyes out at the bright ray of sunlight, I jogged towards my Range Rover, quickly hopping in. Rubbing my hands for warmth, I readjust the rear mirror to my own likings and finally, head off. The drive was too quiet for my liking. I was always used to driving around with the girls and now that they're gone, it felt empty. Turning on the radio, I felt my mood lighten up as I bobbed my head to the rhythm when my favourite song at the moment came on, Superheroes by the one and only, The Script.

Shutting the door close with a hand, I then tugged them into the pockets of my coat and sauntered into my usual cafe. The bell rang indicating my presence and as my gaze fell onto the male sitting on top of the counter, I lifted a hand and waved at him.
"Mia!" Eddy, my cousin hopped off the counter, pulling me into a tight embrace which I had been expecting the moment I stepped out of the car. Giggling, I circled my hands around his back, patting it. "I miss you too Ed" I pulled away, smiling at him. "Come" He pulled me towards the seat by the window after shouting my usual order, Hot Chocolate (they serve the best Hot choco here, I kid you not). I watched as Eddy pulled his apron, throwing it to another barista whom I recognized as Raphael, and choked on my saliva after seeing his priceless reaction.
"Sorry Raph" I yelled as he stomped away. Crossing my arms, I narrowed my eyes at Eddy before shaking my head. "Just because the manager adores you doesn't mean you have to bully your co-workers" Eddy raised his brows, his lips curled into an undeniably hot smirk. If only he wasn't related to me, did I just say that? Don't mind me. "You would do the same" He trailed off, chuckling. He was right. Since the cafe was warm, I pulled my coat, hanging it nicely on the back of my seat as we waited for our drinks.
We chatted for quite a while; telling him about Jude, our vacation house, the road trip, literally everything. We're close like that. I've always seen him as a brother and likewise. "Have you guys been in contact lately?" Darting away from his eyes, I shrugged, taking a sip of my Hot Chocolate. He sighed, placing his arms on the table.
"Look at me you little punk" Eddy narrowed his eyes, pointing an accusing finger at me as I backed away in slight shock. "I know you and your sneaky little ways. I know how you love to play hard to get but honey, it doesn't work like that anymore. Not in this world. You got to step it up and approach him. What, just because he's a guy he has to take the first move? Bull. Crap. You have to-" "Okay! Okay, I got it" I said in defeat, raising my voice slightly for him to be able to hear me because his rambling voice was attracting the customers from the other side of the room. Puffing out an air of annoyance, I crossed my arms across my chest while slumping down on my seat.
Guys can be so dramatic sometimes.
Just as I was about to ask about his girlfriend's well being, Wendy, the manager of the cafe came up to us with a infuriating look across her face and her hands on her hips. My gaze then fell onto Eddy and I couldn't hold back the laughter that was bubbling in beneath me at his priceless expression. He was scared to death. Wendy's a very nice lady. She's a few years older than us and well, she adored Eddy. But I was positive she only looked at Eddy as a little brother because, despite him being a few months older than I am, he just have this baby vibe around him. You just feel the need to take care of him.
I doubled up in laughter as I watched Wendy pulling Eddy away by twisting his ears as he shouted in retort and pain rather loudly, causing some customers to throw us a look of indignation. I couldn't blame them.
"Sorry to interrupt Mia, but Eddy here needs to clean his mess" Wendy flicked me a small grin, before glaring at Eddy whom seemed clueless "What did I do?!" "You didn't close the water tap idiot, now the whole kitchen's flooded!" Clutching my stomach, I bit my lips to hold back the laughter that was threathening to emit out of my lips. At this rate I would actually grow some abs. Wiping away the tears at corner of my eyes, I grabbed my coat and stood up. Bidding everyone goodbye, I walked out of the cafe with a wide smile on my face. 'Feels nice to smile again'
As I strolled towards my car, I was halted when my gaze fell onto a figure sitting on the hood of my car. I couldn't tell who it was by the thickness of his parka and the hood over it's head but I could tell it was a male by its broadened figure. Bitting the insides of my cheeks, I slowly approached the person from behind, tapping his shoulder. "Excuse me, you're sitting on my car"
Waiting intently for him to turn, I started growing impatient when he didn't budged. Clearing my throat, I tried calling him again, louder this time. But to no avail, he stayed in the same position with his back facing me. Sighing out in utter irritation, I was about to reach out for him but was halted when he finally hopped off the hood and turned around. The sight before me made me gawked in disbelief as I felt hot tears building in my eyes.
"It's been a while, Mia"

A/N: Can you tell who gave Mia a surprise visit? It was obvious wasn't it? Hah, well we'll see. The end is coming soon. Sobs. But look at the bright side, new story coming up soon! Btw in this chapter, Eddy is Logan Lerman because i don't know, his face just reminds of me a kid and I feel he's perfect for the role. And Wendy is the one and only, Jennifer Garner. She's a beauty isn't she? Alright enough with the rambling, don't forget to comment, vote and even add me as friend! I love making new friends :) Don't worry, I won't bite. xoxo
